Champions Buriram United will be without Thailand striker Supachai Chaided as they visit rivals Muang Thong United in the Thai League 1 on Saturday.

The domestic top flight action resumes on Saturday after a two-week international break and the leaders will hope to bounce back after suffering their first league loss of the season, falling 4-2 at promoted Chonburi on Nov 9.

The Thunder Castle remain on top with 25 points from 10 games, but are just three ahead of high-flying Ratchaburi.

Mark Jackson’s side will face the Kirins without Supachai, who suffered an injury during a 3-2 friendly win against Singapore last week. However, Buriram will welcome back fellow Thailand star Suphanat Mueanta, while Guilherme Bissoli and Robert Zulj are both available.

Muang Thong, meanwhile, are still without a permanent coach after Rangsan Viwatchaichok stepped down last month and Uthai Boonmoh continues as interim boss.

The Kirins have had a tough time this season and lost for the fifth time two weeks ago at Uthai Thani. They are currently 13th in the standings with 10 points, just two points above the drop zone.

In other games today, second-placed Ratchaburi host BG Pathum in another big match of the weekend, while third-placed Bangkok United face Prachuap and fourth-placed Port welcome Chiang Rai.
