MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Education has denied social media posts claiming that DepEd is prohibiting Christmas parties in schools.
“That is fake news,” the DepEd said, maintaining that no announcement banning Christmas parties in schools this year has been released.
The public should report social media pages spreading fake news, the DepEd said.
The agency urged the public to visit verified social media accounts and website of the DepEd for official updates.
