Kody Brown Dismisses Brianna Chickenfry’s Job on ‘Special Forces’

Kody Brown and Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia‘s partnership on Special Forces ended on an awkward note.

During the Thursday, October 9, episode of the Fox series, the remaining recruits were paired up in groups for the latest challenge with Brown, 56, and LaPaglia, 26, working together to help move a civilian in a simulated war zone.

A break from the “mission” allowed them to get to know each other more, with Brown asking LaPaglia, “What’s your gig?”

LaPaglia replied that she was a podcaster. “Oh and that’s all?” Brown asked before he started laughing. “That’s your qualification?”

‘Sister Wives’ Star Kody Brown’s Most Sexist Comments on ‘Special Forces’

For those unfamiliar with LaPaglia (like Brown) she hosts “BFFs” with Josh Richards and previously hosted “PlanBri Uncut” before its conclusion. LaPaglia currently has over a million Instagram followers. (Brown, for his part, has 185,000.)

Elsewhere in the episode, LaPaglia opened up about how a public breakup from country singer Zach Bryan inspired her to join Special Forces. She noted that she didn’t “like violence very much” but was determined to make it far on the show.

“I am doing the course because I have had a really tough year. I was in a very public relationship,” she recalled in a confessional. “It ended really badly. I don’t know exactly who I am and it will teach me more about myself.”

Bryan, 29, announced in October 2024 that he and LaPaglia called it quits after more than a year of dating. LaPaglia subsequently claimed she was “emotionally abused” by the musician. (Bryan, for his part, didn’t address his ex-girlfriend’s claims.)

In Thursday’s episode, LaPaglia elaborated on her alleged tumultuous relationship.

“Over the past couple of years, I wasn’t allowed to be me,” she shared. “I used to be very strong. I don’t want to give anyone power over me.”

LaPaglia was asked by Brown who she dated, to which she replied, “My ex is a super famous musician. He was awful toward me. He got famous on TikTok and thinks he is God.”

While reflecting on the romance, LaPaglia recalled ignoring wanting signs.

“I met my ex-boyfriend through Instagram DMs,” she told the cameras. “It was a very fast moving relationship where I should have seen a lot of red flags but I was blinded by a lot of things.”

Who Failed Selection on Season 4 of ‘Special Forces’?

LaPaglia elaborated on her experience once she was brought into the interrogation room.

“I think I am here just to not give up. I gave up on myself last year just mentally,” she explained. “I was in a bad relationship but it was public and I would leave my house with a smile but no one knew what was happening. I was in a bad spot.”

LaPaglia continued: “I lost sight of myself and I just didn’t want to be here anymore. It was a dark hole to climb out of.”

According to LaPaglia, she was offered “$12.9 million to sign away” her voice, adding, “He tried to silence me but I didn’t take it. I was that strong girl making videos of what not to do and who to stay away from and I don’t know what happened. It happened to me.”

LaPaglia was able to push through and keep going on Special Forces while actor Jussie Smollett became the third person to depart. After developing a cough, the doctor ordered that Smollett not continue to participate and he was removed for his own health.

The other recruit who discussed his motivation was athlete Nick Young. After his future on Special Forces was questioned, Young, 40, broke down how his older brother’s death when he was a child affected his family.

Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test airs on Fox Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET.

RHOM’s Adriana de Moura Denies ‘Lesbian Love Affair’ With Julia Lemigova

The Real Housewives of Miami season 7 reunion remains on fire.

One week after Julia Lemigova shocked viewers by claiming to have once slept with costar Adriana de Moura, the drama continued to play out on part two.

“I don’t even know what her private parts look like,” Adriana, 59, shared during the Thursday, October 9, episode of Bravo’s reality show. “Did I have this lesbian affair that she is accusing me of? No!”

Instead, Adriana accused her onetime best friend of cheating on Martina Navratilova with multiple people. (Julia, 53, and Martina, 68, have been married for 10 years.)

RHOM’s Alexia Gives Update on Relationship With Her Sister After Estrangement

“She was cheating on Martina with a Haitian mortician,” Adriana claimed to host Andy Cohen. “That’s when [Julia] told me everything. You were with a Haitian mortician. You used to take him to the motel, pay for the motel, bring the champagne and had to give him a coffee machine as a gift. You forgot about that little bit, bitch. And then she had another lover, a cop.”

While some of the cast looked on in awe, others couldn’t help but start laughing while hearing all the twists and turns.

Even the host appeared ready for a time-out from all the accusations.

“We need to take a break,” Andy, 57, said. “As we go to break, I just want you [both] to consider that when you came in here, the thought was we were going to find a way out.”

In true Real Housewives reunion style, a lot can change in a little bit of time.

“Until this promiscuous girl goes around and tries to make me the bad guy because she’s a serial cheater!” Adriana shouted.

Julia replied, “Did I say you were a bad guy? I did not say you were bad.”

During the commercial break, Julia denied Adriana’s claims that she had cheated multiple times. In fact, she claimed her alleged sexual experience with her costar was a “one-night stand.”

As for why she wanted to share it with the world, Julia explained that she “felt muzzled” and “scared” of her onetime friend.

“I feel horrible, but I was not me for four years,” she said. “I couldn’t speak the truth. I never betrayed Adriana with my friendship with Alexia [Nepola]. I tried so much. We slept together once and then we fooled around in the Versace mansion at [Alexia’s] bachelorette. … I didn’t say it to spread gossip. It had to be known. I never betrayed Adriana. I still love her.”

According to Julia, Martina is well aware of her wife’s mistakes, and they are moving forward.

As for Adriana, it doesn’t appear like she’s interested in mending any sort of friendship with her costar.

“I see the pattern. It was in her mind that she developed a crush on me right away,” the “Fyah” singer said. “She was in seducing mode. She was trying to seduce me from the first moment she saw me.”

MISA Malawi sounds alarm over online harassment of journalists

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Press freedom under threat as attacks on reporters escalate online and offline

MISA Malawi has condemned the rising online harassment and intimidation of journalists in the country.

The organisation warned that such actions pose a serious threat to media freedom and democracy.

It cited specific attacks against Times Group journalist Cathy Maulidi and other reporters following the publication of politically sensitive stories.

MISA Malawi dismissed false claims suggesting that it disputed Times Group’s reporting.

The group urged political parties and members of the public to channel grievances through official media oversight bodies rather than resorting to personal attacks on journalists.

MISA also expressed concern over growing hostility toward journalists from the Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) and Times Group.

The organisation highlighted that online threats have increasingly begun turning into physical assaults against reporters.

It called on all political and social actors to respect the rights of journalists.

MISA Malawi pledged to continue defending press freedom and the safety of journalists across the country.

The organisation’s statement underscores the urgent need for accountability and protection mechanisms for media practitioners in Malawi.

Pressure mounts on ACB for failing to prosecute Luthando Holdings owner Laher, Kubwimana Rwandese on citizenship fraud case in eight years

…New leadership has been urged to resume the case….

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Pressure is mounting on country’s graft agency Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for failing to prosecute for failing to prosecute Luthando Holdings owner Laher, Kubwimana Rwandese on citizenship fraud case in eight years.

Despite ACB arresting Laher, Luthando Holdings Limited owner and Kubwimana in March 2017, the duo remains on bail without being tried in the court.

According to court document, ACB acted on a tip-off and arrested Laher and Kubwimana Malawian and Rwandese in Lilongwe and Blantyre respectively.

Former ACB’ Senior Public Relations Officer, Egrita Ndala said Laher was suspected to have aided public officers to abuse their offices contrary to Section 35 of the Corrupt Practices Act.

“On 25th September, 2015, the Anti-Corruption Bureau received a complaint alleging that on 14th May, 2014, the then Chief Immigration Officer granted Malawi Citizenship to Rwandan Nationals using a file belonging to another foreign national.

“The Anti-Corruption Bureau instituted investigations and established that citizenships were granted to people who were not eligible,” said Ndala.

Kubwimana was suspected to have given false information to immigration officers when making applications for Business Resident Permit and Malawi citizenship contrary to Section 122 as read with Section 360 of Penal Code.

Despite duo taken to court while granting them bail, the case remains in the files, eight years down the line.

But when contacted recently, Ndala said, “I’m not aware currently the status of this case. Give me time and will come back to you”.

When followed later, Mdala was no long with ACB.

Although, ACB has failed to prosecute the duo in eight years, the same bureau successfully tried former Homeland Security Minister Uladi Mussa.

Mussa was jailed five years and later President Lazarus Chakwera pardoned him.

Meanwhile, Luthando Holdings Limited is being accused of collecting about MK4 billion from four government agencies without supplying any single motorcycles after a year of winning contracts.

This publication understands that Luthando Holdings was awarded four contracts with instruction from the former President Lazarus Chakwera Statehouse in pretext of being local supplier Company.

For instance in 2024, Luthando got contracts from ESCOM to supply motorcycles pegged at MK483, 792,009.05 and MK1,351,400,000.00 from Malawi Police Service (MPS) to supply 20 motorcycles.

Not only that but also this year, 2025, the same Chakwera government through NEEF and National Local Government Finance Committee offered Luthando Holdings MK2, 147,152,085,00 and MK868,000.000.00 to supply motorcycles respectively.

Despite Luthando collecting funds from all public institutions, no single motorcycle has been delivered.

Therefore, with the change of leadership, the nation expects President Arthur Peter Mutharika administration to review all government contracts which have failed to meet the requirements including Luthando.

Luthando has been using fake Yamaha dealership certificates to win government contracts with support from former President Lazarus Chakwera’s State House.

Demi Lovato’s Ex Max Ehrich Accused of Attacking Mom Before DV Arrest

Demi Lovato’s ex-fiancée, Max Ehrich, allegedly inhaled nitrous oxide and violently attacked his mom before he was arrested for domestic violence.

According to the police report obtained by TMZ, law enforcement officers responded to a domestic violence call from someone who alleged the actor was showing himself harming his mom while live streaming.

When cops arrived at the residence Ehrich, 34, shares with his mom, they reportedly discovered her at a neighbor’s home.

His mother, Rhonda Ehrich, detailed the alleged abuse, telling the responding officers that she and The Young and the Restless alum had gotten into a fight over her phone and that he had consumed nitrous oxide before the argument turned violent.

She claimed her son chased her outside their home and into their neighbor’s backyard before pushing her to the ground and kicking her in the thigh.

While Ehrich’s mom told police that she did not suffer serious injuries from the incident, she claimed her son “heavily abuses inhalants.”

After speaking to his mom, officers spent several minutes ordering Ehrich to come outside. Once he complied, he was arrested and transported to jail.

Ehrich was taken into custody in Florida on Tuesday, October 7, for one count of battery on a person 65 years of age or older, Us Weekly can confirm.

His time behind bars didn’t last long, though. He posted $1,000 bond and was released on Wednesday, TMZ reported.

Ehrich and Lovato, 33, were first linked in March 2020. At the time, a source told Us that the two had met “a few weeks ago” and it was “getting really serious,” with Ehrich moving into the singer’s California home during the pandemic.

“The quarantine has been really great for Demi and [she] and Max have gotten so close,” the insider said. “[She’s] doing a great job at staying sober, healthy and taking care of [herself].”

Ehrich and Lovato announced their engagement in July 2020 after just four months of dating.

The engagement glow quickly faded and the pair called it quits in September 2020.

Lovato later admitted she “rushed into something” and “didn’t actually know the person that I was engaged to” in her 2021 YouTube documentary, Dancing With the Devil.“The hardest part of the breakup was mourning the person that I thought he was … but I’m not the only one who felt fooled. I was just as shocked as the rest of the world at some of the things that were said and done.”

Lovato, however, found love again, and tied the knot with Jordan “Jutes” Lutes in May.

Lutes, who cowrote several tracks on Lovato’s 2022 Holy Fvck album, popped the question in December 2023 and learned how to play guitar for his surprise proposal.

“He did learn to play the song on guitar that he wrote, and it was so beautiful. He made a song that was about our journey together,” Lovato revealed on SiriusXm’s “Morning Mash Up” show last month. “It had all these little Easter eggs in it, and it was so special and beautiful, and he proposed to me with that, and it was just so thoughtful and he’s the best.”

George Chaponda outlines vision for Malawi’s Foreign Affairs Ministry

….Minister pledges to strengthen diplomacy, promote economic growth, and protect Malawians abroad

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Newly appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs, George Chaponda, has spelt out his vision for the Ministry.

In a statement released shortly after assuming office, Chaponda expressed his determination to reposition Malawi’s diplomacy on the global stage.

He said that building on his past experience in the same Ministry, he is geared to fully utilise the Ministry as the face and voice of the country to the world.

Chaponda emphasised that Malawi’s image abroad must reflect the country’s values, priorities, and aspirations for progress.

He added that his leadership will focus on ensuring that the Ministry becomes a platform for advancing Malawi’s national interests through proactive and constructive engagement with international partners.

“My mission, therefore, is to project Malawi as a reliable, peaceful, and development-focused partner in the community of nations; a country that stands for mutual respect, productive partnerships, and shared progress,” Chaponda said.

His statement underscored a vision of diplomacy rooted in cooperation, respect, and shared prosperity.

Chaponda’s remarks highlight a renewed commitment to building bridges with regional and global partners while championing Malawi’s economic and political interests.

Unbundling his priorities, the Minister noted that he intends to strengthen diplomatic relations with both traditional allies and emerging partners.

He stated that strong bilateral and multilateral ties are essential for Malawi’s economic recovery and global visibility.

Chaponda also placed significant emphasis on economic diplomacy as a driver of national development.

He said the Ministry will focus on attracting investment, expanding trade opportunities, and positioning Malawi as a competitive player in regional and international markets.

According to the Minister, economic diplomacy is no longer optional but essential for addressing domestic challenges such as unemployment, poverty, and resource mobilization.

Chaponda further stressed the importance of protecting Malawians living abroad.

He pledged that his Ministry will enhance consular services and ensure that the rights and welfare of Malawians overseas are upheld.

The Minister noted that the government values the contributions of the Malawian diaspora and will continue to explore ways to strengthen their engagement in national development.

Chaponda’s return to the Ministry marks a moment of both continuity and renewal.

Having previously served in the same portfolio, he brings institutional memory and a wealth of experience in international relations.

Observers note that his leadership comes at a critical time when Malawi seeks to rebuild its economy, enhance foreign partnerships, and assert itself as a credible voice in regional and global affairs.

With his outlined priorities, Chaponda’s vision aims to redefine Malawi’s diplomacy—anchored in service, pragmatism, and the pursuit of national prosperity through peaceful collaboration.

In conclusion, Chaponda’s appointment could signal a new chapter in Malawi’s foreign policy direction—one focused on pragmatic engagement, strategic partnerships, and global cooperation.

His leadership may strengthen Malawi’s voice in international forums while promoting a foreign policy rooted in development, peace, and mutual respect among nations.
