As the Dallas Cowboys play their first home game since the tragic death of defensive end Marshawn Kneeland, his pregnant girlfriend, Catalina Mancera, is in attendance.
Mancera was shown taking in the game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, November 23, at AT&T Stadium.
Before the rival matchup, the Cowboys showed a short tribute video, highlighting Kneeland’s career with the Cowboys, and held a moment of silence for the fans in attendance. The team also put a framed No. 94 Kneeland jersey on the bench in his honor.
Cowboys players are also wearing player-designed No. 94 helmet decals for the rest of the season.

Kneeland died by suicide on November 6 after a brief police chase. He was 24 years old.
“It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning,” the Cowboys wrote in a statement at the time, confirming the young athlete’s death. “Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend Catalina and his family.”
On November 10, Mancera broke her silence just four days after the NFL star’s sudden death.
“I’m grieving hard right now,” Mancera told the Daily Mail. “It will be a long time before I’ll feel ready to talk at any length.”
Mancera, 22, reportedly talked to police the night before Kneeland’s death, expressing concern over Kneeland’s well-being and telling authorities Kneeland had “a history of mental illness.”
According to an ESPN report from Saturday, November 23, some of Kneeland’s friends and coaches have reached out to authorities in the past with similar concerns, dating back to 2020.
Just hours before Kneeland’s death on November 6, Cowboys’ director of security, Cable Johnson, also called police requesting a welfare check.
Johnson told authorities Kneeland had sent goodbye texts to friends and family and expressed he was “not able to go to prison or to jail.”
On November 12, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer announced the creation of the Marshawn Kneeland Memorial Fund and revealed that Mancera is pregnant.
The fund will financially assist Mancera amid her pregnancy.
“I’d like to take a few moments and offer my condolences to Marshawn’s family, Catalina, his girlfriend,” Schottenheimer said. “We had an opportunity last night to celebrate Marshawn’s life, tell some stories. Share, laugh, cry. Marshawn loved the words ‘one love.’ So we talked a lot about love, as we grieve. I got a chance to share a couple of the things that I’ll miss the most about Marshawn.”
He continued, “My heart is heavy, my team’s heart is heavy. We don’t move on, but we do move forward.”

Kneeland’s cousin, Nicole Kneeland-Woods, told the Daily Mail that he had been with Mancera since their days at Western Michigan.
“Marshawn shared a very special relationship with Catalina, whom he had been with since his sophomore year of college,” she said. “They supported each other through many stages of life. Catalina is an important part of our family and she’s hurting deeply too.”
On Thursday, November 14, Cowboys players spoke to the media, including defensive end Solomon Thomas, whose sister Ella died by suicide in 2018.
“Marshawn was in the building, smiling every day,” Thomas, 30, said. “He was happy, he was listening to music, he was dancing all the time. But that’s the thing with mental health and suicide. You just never know what someone’s going through. Someone could be smiling, someone could be dancing, laughing, having a great time, expressing all this joy, but inside, they could really be fighting the battle that you never know about.”

When it comes to love, former reality star Jon Gosselin has certainly experienced his share of ups and downs.
Jon was married to ex-wife Kate Gosselin, with whom he shares eight children, from 1999 until the pair’s divorce in 2009. Though the Gosselins’ marriage came to an end amid accusations Jon had ben unfaithful, he continuously denied the claims.
Since then, Jon has dated several women before getting engaged to Stephanie Lebo in 2024. At the time, Jon told The U.S. Sun, “We are really happy and in love. We are very comfortable with each other; it just fits. Plus all our friends are the same people, instead of ‘your friends’ and ‘my friends.’” They wed in 2025.
But that happiness hasn’t stopped him from commenting on his ex-wife’s love life. In 2025, Jon shared a photo of Kate and her rumored beau, Steve Neild, via Instagram and captioned it, “Guess who really ruined the marriage. Read for yourself.”

Jon and Kate married in June 1999. The pair appeared in Discovery Health specials alongside their children and sprang to national stardom when their reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8 debuted on TLC in April 2007.
The series focused on the pair’s lives with their kids: twins Cara and Mady and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel.
Though Jon and Kate renewed their wedding vows in August 2008, they announced their separation in June 2009 — months after rumors that Jon had been having an affair surfaced. In a September 2009 appearance on ABC’s Primetime: Family Secrets, Jon claimed Kate was abusive. As he put it, “I was abused. I went through therapy.”
Jon also decided to stop filming the family’s show, which was renamed Kate Plus 8 in October 2009 after he was sued by TLC for breach of contract. Jon filed a $5 million countersuit against the network in November 2009, but TLC prevailed and won the case in December of the same year.
In July 2009, Kate told People of the split, “On a good day I feel relief. On a bad day I feel failure. I’ve never quit anything in my life. It feels like I’ve failed. It’s hard. This is the first war I’ve fought alone. Really, really alone.”
She continued: “It was event after event after event where I came to realize: This is not the same person I married. I remember just looking at him and thinking, ‘I wouldn’t choose to marry that exact person right now … so why am I here?’ Our goals don’t match up anymore, our dreams don’t match up, our ideas don’t match up.”
Jon and Kate finalized their divorce in December 2009. Kate’s decision to join Dancing With the Stars the following year appeared to prompt Jon to file for legal custody of the pair’s eight children, and his lawyer described Kate as “an absentee mom” while she rehearsed for the show in the basement of the home she lived in with their kids. At the time, Kate’s then-attorney Mark Momijan told RadarOline, “We haven’t received any formal filing yet, but I can’t imagine anything farther from the truth. Kate is a devoted mother. Her concern for the welfare of her kids is so prominent that any allegations like this report are reckless and so far from the mark, it’s offensive.”
Kate filed her own suit against Jon in August 2013 and accused of him of using “illegal hacking” to give author Robert Hoffman information for his book Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled the World. She dropped the case in November 2013.
In January 2016, Jon told Steve Harvey had not “seen all [his] kids together in about three years.” Twins Mady and Cara spoke to People in response in August 2016, with Mady explaining at the time, “He makes it seem like we’re being kept from him, which is insane. He should maybe spend some time thinking about why we don’t want to see him, and maybe realize that if he ever does want a relationship with us, talking about us on TV is not the way to make that happen.”
In April 2018, Jon revealed he had custody of the pair’s daughter Hannah and announced he was also pursuing custody of Collin, who was living in a treatment center for minors at the time. Collin moved in with Hannah and Jon in December 2018.
After Kate announced she was in a new relationship, reportedly with the family’s former bodyguard, Neild, in September 2025, Collin accused his mother of having an affair with Neild in 2009. He and Hannah were not pictured in photos Kate shared via social media while celebrating the sextuplets’ 21st birthday in May 2025.
In May 2009, five people, including two relatives of Deanna Hummel’s, told Us that she and Jon had an affair. The third grade teacher’s brother Jason told Us, “She’s a nice girl, not a homewrecker. He is a bad liar. This isn’t healthy for her. But she is refusing to help herself, so here I am trying to help her myself. I hope this clears the air.”
In September 2009, the Gosselin family’s former nanny Stephanie Santoro claimed she and Jon had an affair. Santoro told In Touch Weekly she worked for the family for one month, and during that time Jon invited her over and gave her a massage. She also said Jon told her, “Well, I guess we can kiss just once” and “Whatever you do, don’t fall in love with me, because it’s going to be impossible for me not to fall in love with you.” Jon denied the allegations.
Also in September 2009, former Star reporter Kate Major (now Lohan) said she and Jon had a short-lived romance following his split from Kate — another relationship Jon has denied. “I will take a lie detector test, and I would love for Jon to take a lie detector test because for him to say there was no romance is a complete lie,” she told HLN’s Showbiz Tonight, per People.
She added: “If I could talk to Kate Gosselin, I would definitely. I think we would have a lot in common, and I feel badly for her. I think she’s definitely taking the high road in this, and I’m sure it’s very hard and the last thing I would want is for any of his children to see this, but then again, I’m not the parent.”
Hailey Glassman, a family friend who is 10 years Jon’s junior, and the former reality star dated sometime after his split with Kate until their breakup in December 2009. In March 2011, Glassman told RadarOnline that Jon once attempted to blackmail Kate.
She said: “We were in bed, and Jon called Kate on speaker phone. He wrote down what he wanted to say to her and then he read from his notes. He told her, ‘You either give me money or I’m going to call [Child Protective Services].’”
Glassman added, “Kate started screaming, and Jon just started laughing. He just laughed at her. Later, when he got off the phone, I asked him, ‘What are you doing? Why are you doing this? This is the mother of your eight children!’ And he told me, ‘Oh, you don’t know what I went through with her, what I had to deal with.’”
In response, Jon wrote on X (then Twitter), “Radar Online has been duped again by Hailey Glassman, who is apparently without a job and desperate for money. This article contains so many lies, they are too numerous to count. It is completely false and without any merit.”
Rumors that Jon was dating then-law student Morgan Christie surfaced in January 2010. The pair attended the Sundance Film Festival together the same month, but Morgan ended things in March 2010.
Jon and Liz Jannetta, a mother of three, met in February 2012. That May, she told Inside Edition, “I didn’t watch the show. Anything I knew about Jon was from the tabloids. You know, womanizer Jon.” The pair were together for two years, during which they appeared on the fourth season of VH1’s series Couples Therapy. They broke up in 2014 after Jon said on the series, “When Liz laughs at me and walks away, it’s like Kate. That’s exactly how I feel.”
Jon announced his relationship with nurse practitioner Colleen Conrad in mid-2014. The pair dated for seven years until their split in August 2021, four months after Conrad was diagnosed with breast cancer. “We had ongoing issues previous to our breakup and previous to her diagnosis, so we had trouble in the relationship for a long time and didn’t really want any stress during her treatment,” Jon said on The Dr. Oz Show. “So we thought it was best that we just stop our relationship and work on our friendship and get her through her treatment.”

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) has warned that it will organise nationwide demonstrations if government operations continue to move in the wrong direction.
HRDC Chairperson, Michael Kaiyatsa, said the organisation is prepared to take to the streets because peaceful protests are a constitutional right in Malawi.
He emphasised that the coalition’s primary objective is to ensure that duty-bearers fulfill the promises they made to Malawians.
Kaiyatsa said HRDC will not hesitate to mobilise citizens if leaders ignore the concerns and needs of the very people who put them in office.
He added that the organisation’s responsibility is to hold public officials accountable, especially when service delivery is poor or when governance commitments are abandoned.
According to Kaiyatsa, demonstrations remain one of the most effective tools for citizens to demand transparency and action from their leaders.
He explained that if those in authority fail to act in the public interest, HRDC is ready to remind them of their obligations through lawful protests.
Last Saturday, the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) issued a statement distancing itself from any upcoming demonstrations planned by civil society.
The party said it will not support activities by organisations whose intentions, in its view, are likely to disturb peace and stability in the country.
DPP argued that while citizens have the right to protest, such actions must not be used to create unnecessary tension or insecurity.
The party further stated that it has no intention of aligning itself with groups whose plans may escalate unrest.
HRDC, however, maintains that its intentions are not to cause instability but to demand accountability from public leaders.
Kaiyatsa reiterated that the coalition remains committed to peaceful and lawful means of expressing citizen grievances.
He stressed that Malawians deserve a government that listens, acts, and remains answerable to the electorate.
The emerging tension between HRDC and the DPP highlights a growing political divide on how governance concerns should be addressed.
Observers say the situation could escalate if the government does not provide clear responses to the issues raised by Malawians.
HRDC has assured the public that it will announce its next steps if leaders continue to neglect their duties.
The organisation has also encouraged citizens to remain vigilant and demand better services from public officials.
As the political atmosphere heats up, all eyes now turn to the government’s next move in addressing the growing frustrations among the population.

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Search teams are working tirelessly to recover the bodies of ten miners trapped since a mine collapse in Chitanthamapiri, Kasungu district, three days ago.
According to District Disaster Management Officer Shepherd Jere, one person has been confirmed dead, and two others are receiving medical attention in hospital.
The search operation is a collaborative effort involving council officials, police, local leaders, and Mota Engil, who have provided crucial machinery and fuel support.
The cause of the collapse is still under investigation, but concerns are growing over the safety of artisanal mining practices in the area.
This incident echoes a similar tragedy that occurred in October, where eight people lost their lives in a gold mine collapse in Kasungu.

As Tatiana Schlossberg underwent stem cell treatment for her terminal cancer battle, her siblings leapt into action to help.
“My sister had turned out to be a match and would donate her stem cells,” Tatiana, 35, wrote in a New Yorker essay published Saturday, November 22, referring to older sister Rose Schlossberg. “My brother [Jack Schlossberg] was a half-match, but he still asked every doctor if maybe a half-match was better, just in case.”
The Schlossberg siblings are the three children of Caroline Kennedy — the daughter of the late John F. Kennedy and Jacqueline Kennedy Onaissis — and Edwin Schlossberg.
Tatiana discovered that she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia in 2024 shortly after giving birth to her second child. (Tatiana and husband George Moran welcomed a son in 2022 and a daughter in 2024.)

After consulting her physicians, Tatiana learned that she had a rare mutation in her blood cells and was subsequently given a year to live.
“I could not be cured by a standard course of treatment. I would need a few months, at least, of chemotherapy, which would aim to reduce the number of blast cells in my bone marrow,” she explained in her “A Battle With My Blood” essay for The New Yorker. “Then, I would need a bone-marrow transplant, which could cure me. After the transplant, I would probably need more chemotherapy, on a regular basis, to try to prevent the cancer from returning.”
Tatiana also underwent a couple of clinical trials, in addition to the stem cell treatment using Rose’s donation.
“My sister held her arms straight for hours as the doctors drained blood from one, scooped out and froze her stem cells, and pumped the blood back in the other,” Tatiana recalled of Rose’s procedure. “The cells smelled like canned tomato soup. When the transfusion began, I sneezed twelve times and threw up.”
She added, “Then I waited — for my blood counts to recover, for my sister’s cells to heal and change my body. We wondered if I would get her banana allergy or her personality. My hair started to fall out and I wore scarves to cover my head, remembering, vainly, each time I tied one on, how great my hair used to be.”
While Tatiana was hospitalized, with Moran by her side, her other relatives helped babysit their children.
“My parents and my brother and sister, too, have been raising my children and sitting in my various hospital rooms almost every day for the last year and a half,” Tatiana wrote. “They have held my hand unflinchingly while I have suffered, trying not to show their pain and sadness in order to protect me from it. This has been a great gift, even though I feel their pain every day.”

She continued, “Now I have added a new tragedy to her life, to our family’s life, and there’s nothing I can do to stop it.”

“Tatiana is a beautiful writer, journalist, wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend. This piece is about what she has been going through for the last year and a half,” Shriver, 70, wrote via her Instagram, specifically responding to the New Yorker story. “It’s an ode to all the doctors and nurses who toil on the frontlines of humanity. It’s so many things, but best to read it yourself, and be blown away by one woman’s life story. And let it be a reminder to be grateful for the life you are living today, right now, this very minute.”

Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine’s Tony Award-winning stage musical of the same name is given the cinema treatment starring Meryl Streep, Anna Kendrick, Emily Blunt and James Corden. The story follows a baker (Corden) and his wife (Blunt) who are childless after being cursed by a witch (Streep). Together, they set out to break the curse and return the witch to her former beauty by seeking special ingredients. On their journey, they meet many fairytale characters, including Little Red Riding Hood (Lilla Crawford), Cinderella (Kendrick) and Rapunzel (Mackenzie Mauzy).
Into the Woods is both a fitting adaptation of its source material and an entertaining musical movie in its own right, with two powerhouse performances from Streep and Blunt in particular. Some critics feel it’s one of the best musical movies of the 21st century — indeed, it’s a lavishly directed reimagining of fairytales that never fails to entertain.
Wonka imagines the origins of the iconic Willy Wonka, played in this musical prequel by Timothée Chalamet. The young Wonka arrives in Europe penniless but with big dreams of opening a candy shop, and his whimsical personality and determined spirit make it clear that nothing will deter him. However, Wonka must contend with some cutthroat business rivals — as well as a vengeful Oompa-Loompa (Hugh Grant) — before he can establish his famous chocolate factory.
Director Paul King (Paddington 2) helms this deliciously sweet expansion of the Willy Wonka lore. The character is embodied wonderfully by Chalamet, who is able to capture the wit, spirit and eccentricities of the timeless character. The musical also features plenty of original songs and fun characters to keep you coming back for more.
Jim Henson’s classic puppet-filled fantasy movie stars a young Jennifer Connelly as Sarah Williams, a teenager who wishes that her baby half-brother would be taken by the goblins from her book called The Labyrinth. But when the Goblin King Jareth (David Bowie) appears and informs her that baby Toby has really been kidnapped, she is forced to solve a labyrinth in thirteen hours or Toby will be turned into a goblin.
Similar to Dorothy in the Land of Oz, Sarah meets a number of friends in a strange, fantasy world who help her along her journey to save her brother. But the world of the labyrinth is a bit darker than that of Oz, with many creepy-looking critters courtesy of Jim Henson’s Creature Shop. While Labyrinth debuted to mixed reviews, it’s gone on to become a cult classic for its imaginative world and emotional depth.
In the magical, animated world of Andalasia, the beautiful Giselle (Amy Adams) dreams of marrying her Prince Charming. When she meets the dashing Prince Edward (James Marsden), the two instantly fall in love and plan to be married. But Edward’s evil stepmother (Idina Menzel), determined to stay in power, sends Giselle to the real world while on her way to her wedding. Trapped in New York City, Giselle must figure out how to get back home with the help of a lawyer and single father, Robert (Patrick Dempsey)
The film that catapulted Adams into the spotlight is not only a showcase for the actor’s singular talents, Enchanted is also a winsome, wildly entertaining and well-written musical fantasy that is as funny as it is romantic. With sharp dialogue, genuinely beautiful animation and lavish musical numbers, Enchanted has remained a Millennial and Gen Z childhood staple for a reason.
You can’t really talk about the best musical movies to watch after Wicked: For Good without including the very musical movie that started it all — even if it’s likely that those who have seen Jon M. Chu‘s films will have also (hopefully) seen the original The Wizard of Oz. Young Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland) is swept away to the Land of Oz in a dust storm, and upon landing, finds that her home has crushed and killed the Wicked Witch of the East. While on her journey to finding her way back to Kansas, she must evade the vengeful wrath of the deceased witch’s sister: the Wicked Witch of the West (Margaret Hamilton).

The To Do List is anchored by a very funny — and committed — performance from Plaza, but the cast is filled out by a fantastic ensemble of comedy players, including Andy Samberg, Bill Hader, Christopher Mintz-Plasse and Ali Shawkat. If you’re looking for a thoughtful meditation on female sexuality, you won’t really get it here. But The To Do List succeeds as a goofy and extremely watchable sex comedy that will entertain the whole way through.

Ronnie (Michael St. Michaels) lives with his adult son, Brayden (Sky Elobar), who has dreams of becoming a space fantasy author, while Ronnie runs a disco-themed walking tour in their town. When a beautiful woman named Janet (Elizabeth De Razzo) takes the tour, both men become infatuated with her, which creates a competition between father and son for Janet’s attention. At the same time, an oil-covered serial killer known as the “Greasy Strangler” begins terrorizing the streets by night.
The Greasy Strangler isn’t for everyone — it’s a mix of absurdist humor combined with the low taste of John Waters and some of the practical, gross-out body horror you might see in a David Cronenberg movie — although there are no human-to-fly transformations. Still, even if the movie doesn’t work for you, it is a unique and compellingly made work of a singular vision that is unlike basically any other movie you might see right now.

Fred Simmons (McBride) is an arrogant but hapless Taekwondo instructor, more interested in trying to impress than in actually teaching his students. However, things become dire for Fred when he learns that his wife, Suzie (Mary Jane Bostic), cheated on him with her boss. In an effort to boost his self-esteem and reclaim his manhood, he attends a martial arts expo so that he can meet his idol: B-movie action star Chuck “The Truck” Wallace (Ben Best). However, Fred’s reality is shattered when he realizes his idol is a scumbag.

Jody Hill‘s directorial debut isn’t quite as sure-footed as his follow-up, Observe and Report, but it’s a funny and fascinating low-budget look at toxic masculinity, led by a great Danny McBride, who is only still feeling out the loud-mouthed persona that would come to define his work in TV and movies. Nevertheless, The Foot Fist Way still sings with its biting insults and cringe humor.
