Speak up like a brave person: Reflections on “CHIGOBA” Bakili Muluzi TV

In today’s digital age, personalities like Bakili Muluzi TV (BMTV)-which has been operating undercover) have become household names, particularly among Malawians who follow online platforms for news, commentary, and public discourse. With a style that is both bold and unfiltered, Muluzi has captured the attention — and sometimes the ire — of audiences across the country.

Sylvester Kalizang’oma recently weighed in on Muluzi’s approach, urging people to “speak up like a brave person.”

Indeed, watching Bakili Muluzi TV, it is easy to see why such advice resonates. His on-screen presence is audacious, direct, and unapologetic — qualities that often make viewers either cheer or cringe.

Kalizang’oma notes that some may be tempted to label Muluzi as reckless, brash, or even arrogant.

Yet, as Muluzi himself has implied with the phrase “akulu akulu” — referring to leaders or people in authority — his approach is purposeful. Even if his style causes temporary discomfort, it often challenges those in power to reflect and, in some cases, respond.

This tension between audacity and responsibility is what makes Muluzi’s platform so compelling. In a media landscape where cautious reporting is the norm, he chooses to push boundaries.

His commentary is bold, but it is also rooted in a desire to hold leaders accountable and provoke public discussion.

Of course, the very qualities that make him popular also invite criticism. Some accuse him of sensationalism, while others suggest his unfiltered commentary risks misunderstanding or conflict.

But in an era where ordinary citizens struggle to have their voices heard, figures like Bakili Muluzi TV remind us of the value of fearless communication.

Kalizang’oma’s advice — to speak boldly yet responsibly — applies not only to media personalities but to all citizens who wish to engage with governance, policy, or public debate.

Muluzi’s work demonstrates that speaking out, even when it ruffles feathers, can serve a greater purpose: holding leaders accountable and encouraging open discourse.

In the end, Bakili Muluzi TV is more than just an online personality.

He symbolizes the power of audacity, the influence of digital media, and the role of fearless voices in shaping public dialogue.

As Kalizang’oma aptly puts it, if we are to speak out, we must do so like brave individuals — unafraid, thoughtful, and ready to stand by our words.

NAP demands immediate accountability on Malawi’s mobile, internet services crisis

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost-The National Advocacy Platform (NAP) has issued a powerful call for urgent accountability and decisive regulatory action as Malawi’s mobile and internet services continue to deteriorate at an alarming rate.

In a strongly worded statement released in Lilongwe on 15 November 2025 and signed by NAP Chairperson Benedicto Kondowe and National Coordinator Baxton Nkhoma,it expressed deep concern over the worsening collapse of network quality, a crisis that has persisted for nearly a year without meaningful intervention from authorities or service providers.

According to NAP, Malawians have endured erratic connectivity, dropped calls, slow and unreliable internet access and the premature expiry of data bundles often before customers fully utilise them.

Despite this prolonged decline in service delivery, data and voice tariffs have remained unchanged.

NAP describes this as “daylight robbery” and “an affront to consumer rights,” noting that calls for improvement from civil society, businesses and citizens have been repeatedly ignored.

The organisation warns that the crisis is doing severe damage to the country’s economy and digital development.

Businesses are experiencing reduced productivity, students are struggling to access online learning platforms and professionals who rely on digital communication are increasingly frustrated.

The unreliability of mobile networks is also disrupting access to essential services in health, education and finance, threatening Malawi’s progress toward a digitally driven economy.

One of the most alarming developments, NAP notes, is the chaos within digital financial transactions.

Bank-to Airtel Money transfers are frequently reversed within seconds, while other transactions fail with unexplained error messages indicating that a recipient’s account has exceeded the transfer limit even when the account has a zero balance.

In many cases, funds deducted during failed transactions are not refunded, leaving consumers stranded and without recourse.

NAP is calling on the Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) to launch an urgent audit of mobile linked financial transactions and compel mobile operators to refund and compensate all affected customers.

The organisation stresses that such failures represent a serious violation of consumer trust and financial integrity.

Citing the Communications Act of 2017, NAP highlights several legal obligations placed on MACRA and mobile service providers.

These include providing affordable communication services, ensuring consumer protection, and complying with technical and performance standards.

The Act also empowers MACRA to suspend or revoke licences for failure to meet these obligations. NAP argues that the sustained breakdown in service quality constitutes a clear breach of these legal requirements and warrants immediate regulatory action.

To restore accountability and protect consumers, NAP is urging Government and MACRA to take several immediate steps.

These include reconstituting the MACRA Board to strengthen oversight, conducting an independent audit of service quality, publishing performance and compliance reports, enforcing penalties on operators that fail to meet minimum standards and ensuring refunds for unused or prematurely expired data bundles.

NAP stresses that reliable communication is not a luxury but a constitutional right grounded in Section 37 of Malawi’s Constitution, which guarantees access to information.

Persistent service failures, the organisation says, undermine this right and block citizens from meaningful participation in the country’s economic and social life.

The platform further warns that continued inaction from regulators weakens the very safeguards designed to protect the public from exploitative business practices.

It calls on MACRA to firmly defend the interests of Malawians who have “long suffered under the weight of bullying practices from network providers.”

Justin Baldoni Got Support in Text From Rainn Wilson Amid Blake Lively Feud

Justin Baldoni allegedly received support from The Office star Rainn Wilson via text amid his public legal battle with It Ends With Us costar Blake Lively.

In texts that were sent on January 5, 2024 in a group chat that included Baldoni, actor Travis Van Winkle, musician Andy Grammer and It Ends With Us producer Jamey Heath, Wilson, 59, claimed Baldoni was “set up,” according to court documents seen by Us Weekly on Friday, November 14. The texts have been released due to Baldoni’s legal defense team filing the messages as evidence.

The text chain shows Wilson asked whether there were any updates on the situation. In response, Baldoni, 41, detailed a heated discussion he had with Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds, 49.

“Ryan was talking to me like a five-year-old and scolding me. They essentially said that Jamey and I are not who we claimed to be and that for us to have a podcast is unsafe because it makes people feel like we are safe,” Baldoni wrote.

Ryan Reynolds Allegedly Calls Justin Baldoni a ‘Stand Up’ Guy’ in Texts

Baldoni went on to detail the experience of being accused of “creepy” behavior towards Lively, 38, and called it “one of the hardest nights of my life.”

“The word creepy and abuse were used in reference to me in my behavior. I was then given the words of what to say, and had to apologize which I was unable to do because my brain was trying to comprehend what was happening. I was in shock and basically went into feeling like I was a seven-year-old again when I got home last night.” he wrote. “I was emotionally paralyzed. It was as bad as it sounds.”

In the text exchange, Baldoni expressed gratitude for the support of those involved in the group chat.

Wilson responded to Baldoni’s text by claiming he was “set up and ambushed.”

“Oh my God. I can’t believe it. You were set up and ambushed and personally attacked. I’m stunned. I completely relate to you being stunned, like a deer in the Headlights,” Wilson wrote. “Probably better that you didn’t immediately. Just start apologizing. So grateful that Jamey is your partner, and could step in diplomatically as needed.”

Wilson concluded his text, “Onwards brother. Make a great and important and entertaining piece of storytelling. That’s all you can do now. So sorry for what you went thru.”

Us Weekly has reached out to representatives for Wilson, Baldoni and Lively for comment.

Justin Baldoni Shares Alleged Blake Lively Texts Over Infamous Rooftop Scene

Lively filed her lawsuit against Baldoni, producer Heath, studio head Steve Sarowitz, and their publicists in December 2024. The trial is scheduled for March 2026.

The legal back-and-forth began earlier in December after the actress accused her It Ends With Us costar and director of sexual harassment and orchestrating a smear campaign against her.

Baldoni has denied all of the allegations. He subsequently countersued Lively and Reynolds in January, accusing the couple of extortion and defamation. Lively and Reynolds denied the allegations. A judge dismissed Baldoni’s case against Lively in June.

Baldoni and his team had the chance to amend their claims for breach of implied covenant and tortious interference with contract. The judge gave them a deadline of June 23.  However, Baldoni ultimately opted not to do so. Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman later explained that they were refocused on striking down Lively’s original December 2024 lawsuit.

Donnie Wahlberg’s ‘Boston Blue’ Son Wants Him to ‘Leave’ Their Shared Home

Boston Blue addressed tension between Donnie Wahlberg‘s Danny Reagan and his onscreen son as they struggled to live together.

During the Friday, November 14, episode of the Blue Bloods spinoff, Danny confided in Lena (Sonequa Martin-Green) about his issues with Sean (Mika Amonsen).

“The sandwich was for Sean. We were supposed to have breakfast, and he stood me up to go for a run,” he explained. “I am all for the kid staying in shape, but I am trying to spend time with him.”

Lena pointed out that residing in the same apartment can create problems. Danny, however, disagreed with that assessment, saying, “It is going great, and we are having a great time. So I figured why not stay longer so we can stay close?”

Later in the episode, Sean admitted to partner Jonah (Marcus Scribner) that there were growing pains — especially after they fought over Danny making his adult son’s bed.

“I can’t [ask him to move out]. He uprooted his whole life for me, and it is nice spending time with him,” Sean said. “But I just wish he would leave at the end of the night.”

Sean ultimately decided to bring up the topic when he apologized to Danny for how “tense” things had been at home.

“I am the one who should be sorry. I am crowding you,” Danny replied. “I think it is time I got my own place.”

The father and son duo were able to come to a compromise, with Sean moving in with Jonah while Danny remained in his apartment. The Reagans have faced ups and downs since Danny moved to Boston from New York.

Danny’s journey in New York was featured on CBS’ Blue Bloods, which ran from 2010 to 2024. The spinoff, which premiered in October, kicked off with Danny visiting Boston after Sean ended up in a coma. This version of Sean looked a little different after the role was previously played by Andrew Terraciano.

Coshowrunner Brandon Margolis later broke down the decision, telling Variety last month, “We love Andrew and the work he did over the years on Blue Bloods. Really, it came down to we’re telling a new chapter in both of their lives.”

Which ‘Blue Bloods’ Stars Have Reprised Their Roles on ‘Boston Blue’ So Far?

Margolis continued: “It’s not just Sean who has joined the family business as it were and is turning over this new leaf, but it’s also now Danny Reagan is the father [of] a cop, which he’s never been before.”

The screenwriter called the switch “an organic opportunity to bring in a new performance with a new energy, to help dramatize that change.” The writers’ room was looking forward to “new storytelling lanes to explore” with the spinoff series.

“It is the same character, it’s the same relationship, but it’s also completely different,” Margolis added. “We love what Mika has brought to Sean, this vulnerability, yet this desire to prove himself. It’s just been great to watch it come to life.”

In a separate interview with TVLine, Margolis noted that he “loved” watching Terraciano “grow up on TV,” adding, “It creatively made sense to find an actor with a different energy.”

Margolis concluded: “And to your point, yeah, it was a gamble to open the show on a new face — two new faces, actually — but the story required us to love him right away. Opening with that heroic moment that has a tragic end was the right way to pull Danny Reagan into this world.”

Boston Blue airs on CBS Fridays at 10 p.m. ET.

RSA operation Dudula, marches, challenge of unity among black communities

…..The arrival of 153 Palestinians highlights courage, solidarity, and the need for self-love within Black communities

PRETORIA-(MaraviPost)-South Africa’s operation Dudula, marches, and rallies organized by the Patriotic Alliance have drawn attention for targeting foreigners in various communities.

Those who participate in chasing or intimidating foreigners, however, reveal a deeper fear rather than bravery.

It is noteworthy that none of these groups were present when 153 Palestinians entered the country without any official documents.

The Palestinians were allowed to seek asylum and were welcomed, demonstrating a humane and courageous response from the authorities.

This contrast exposes a troubling pattern: some Black communities often fail to show solidarity or protection for fellow Africans or other oppressed peoples.

It raises a broader question about internalized self-hate among Black populations, where distrust and animosity toward one another hinder collective progress.

Until Black communities learn to love and support each other genuinely, patterns of division, scapegoating, and injustice will likely continue.

The incident also underscores the importance of courage and moral leadership, qualities that go beyond nationalism or political posturing.

Welcoming vulnerable people, even when bureaucratic procedures are complex, is an act of humanity that some so-called defenders of the community fail to emulate.

Solidarity, empathy, and organized support are far more impactful than fear-driven demonstrations or xenophobic actions.

Ultimately, the arrival of the 153 Palestinians should serve as a lesson: bravery is not about chasing others away but about standing up for justice and showing compassion.

It calls for a cultural and social reflection, urging communities to prioritize unity, mutual respect, and genuine care for one another.

Black communities, in particular, must confront internal divisions and build a foundation of self-love to achieve meaningful collective progress.

Only through understanding, acceptance, and courage can we transform fear and animosity into strength and solidarity.

This moment serves as a reminder that change begins with how communities treat each other, especially in times of vulnerability and crisis.
