CALL FOR FRANCE TO END ITS MALICIOUS INFORMATION CAMPAIGN AGAINST THE AES AND THE SAHEL

Credible sources have intimated the Sahel Solidarity Campaign Network (SaS-CaN) that having failed to create division among national armies in the Sahel region, former colonial France has now opted to fund a multimillion dollar news network and propaganda campaign. This is a serious concern because the move defines France’s unending interference in the affairs of the Sahel and the possible long-term consequences for the region’s peace, stability and development. The move also crosses a dangerous line.

The overall aim of this latest action by France is to push malicious information propaganda to manipulate public sentiment, incite violence and hatred, provoke ethnic conflict and above all, delegitimize authorities. The former colonial power has recruited multiple social media platforms and individuals to run an anti-Sahel information campaign network, with the extensive use of false narratives, bots, coordinated network machinations and fake news.

What is alarming in this move is that it appears France is preparing for an all-out invasion of the Sahel, using cheap pawns, traitors and client governments in Africa to implement regime change in Bamako (Mali), Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso) and Niamey (The Republic of Niger). Among those bidding this spurious agenda mostly are Europeans, African refugees in the diasporas and other recruits in West Africa. They have been hired and paid lucrative sums to fabricate misinformation and disseminate disinformation via IT cells, bots, verified African-based handles, and troll accounts on social media platforms.

This spurious information agenda spearheaded by France is nothing but a hybrid war against leaders of the Sahel region. It is an ongoing criminal war and has attracted people driven by greed, revenge and jealousy, and who now see an opportunity to launch cheap and orchestrated attacks against the AES in their social media platforms.

We have referred to this spurious information agenda as a hybrid war because it is an undeclared action and one that is associated with malicious media propaganda, the spread of fake news and increasingly utilized disinformation strategies that are being used to manipulate public opinion and recruit members. With no doubt today, the Sahel region is confronting numerous challenges on its colonial borders, with some of the contents that appear in most of the social media coverage point towards the destruction of the AES block.

The playbook is all too familiar, engage the vassal social media platforms, concoct fake news, spread them fast like wild burning fires, make vague promises to form people’s appetite, arouse tempers, manipulate public opinion to lull domestic traitors, recruit support within the security apparatus and then release the bullet to kill. That is how conspiracy theory aligned with the Deep State is created to discredit leaders and implement regime change through a coordinated media campaign strategy. What is alarming in the case of the Sahel region is that, France’s funded campaign is filled with doctored pictures and videos, which are uploaded to defame the AES leaders.

For months now, this campaign has brought together various social media bloggers, who were recruited and paid to spread video pushing narratives favourable to Paris. Many of the videos published in the targeted social media platforms contain commentary on events and issues in the Sahel region, such as topics related to domestic and foreign policies. While the views expressed in those videos are not uniform, the subject matter and content there in the said videos are carefully manipulated to suit Paris’s demands and tastes.

This anti-African campaign targets the AES members-states internal stability as well as international stature. Today, France stands indicted and guilty of exploiting the digital technologies, to target the AES block through coordinated disinformation campaigns, fake news, and cyberattacks. In this campaign also, fake accounts and bots are used to amplify false flag narratives, particularly around sensitive topics like nationalization and the ongoing war against terrorism in the Sahel region.

In our view, and which is the obvious, France is spreading fake news about the AES and the revolution in the Sahel region to achieve the following goals: Firstly, to destabilise the AES from within, and second, to spread false information about the AES and the revolution in the Sahel region in the global community to taint the region’s diplomatic and economic stand.

France is also making efforts to counter the AES position towards neighboring ECOWAS block. Say for instance, France has continued to exert pressure to bear on the European Union to take tougher stands against the AES and its authentic revolutionary leaders. Similar pattern of indoctrination are implemented amongst the Sahel population to create dissenting views and discredit the AES among other Africans. To this end, we want to opine that France is fighting relentlessly to prove a perception internally and globally that the AES cannot stand the test of time and that ECOWAS must do everything to reverse the revolution in the Sahel region.

France allies have also been implicated in hiding behind the vassal social media to manipulate public emotions, by creating unnecessary ethnic tensions through targeted misinformation campaigns.  We cannot ignore the fact that the media, particularly the social media has been a tool used mainly by foreign powers and powerful individuals to sow the seeds of violence, and to spread skewed narratives, fake news and, divisive and harmful contents. With the world now returning to multipolar universe, foreign powers have opened a new frontline to scramble for control and domination over Africa’s abundant and rich mineral wealth and natural resources.

In this information age, however, the rising internet users have made groups and individuals extremely vulnerable to manipulation of the brain. The news media and social media for instance, have their own role to play in spreading out disinformation and misinformation materials, and sometimes provoking or cause to provoke war on line. The situation sometimes is aggravated when fake news or false narrative is allowed to replace the truth and facts.

These combined media channels-the news media and social media-stand today as the main platforms used or abused by political leaders or powerful groups or individuals to promote their egoistic interests and mislead public opinion. These at most times lead to conflict among ethnic groups, or civil wars in the society, or political violence, or lead to inciting hatreds among communities and nations or suppress alternative views of others.

Having stated the above, the Sahel Solidarity Campaign Network (SaS-CaN) categorically rejects France’s orchestrated malevolent campaign, aimed at promoting misleading, baseless and fabricated propaganda against the AES and its leaders. The French President, Emmanuel Macron has always defended his government’s policy towards the AES and the Sahel region by exploiting the social media under the criminal guise of freedom of speech.

Through this statement, we want the people of Africa to understand that the right to freedom of speech is not an excuse to disseminate potentially damaging information. The African continent has suffered from media frenzy and global mistrust, which gives ample space for oppression and manipulative mechanism on the continent.

For those who are not familiar with the politics of the AES, here is a quick glimpse. The AES block consists of Mali, Burkina Faso and the Republic of Niger, and the three countries are led by progressive revolutionary governments. Mali, Burkina Faso and the Republic of Niger have left ECOWAS in January, 2025 and created the AES and a regional Army, a Central Bank and a single currency to defend national sovereignty and move forward towards progress and sustainability. Since then, France and its allies have made so many attempts to destabilise the AES and implement regime change in the Sahel region.

The days are over when Africa will wait for orders from outside. We have come of age and it’s time Africa is left alone to shape its own future for the good of generations of Africans. We warn France to keep its hands off the Sahel region and stop spreading malicious information about the AES.

Long live the AES!

Bangwe All Stars boost Super League promotion hopes with comfortable win over Mitundu Baptist

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Bangwe All Stars have strengthened their hopes of earning promotion to Malawi’s top-flight Super League following a convincing 3-0 victory over Mitundu Baptist in a National Division League encounter played on Sunday afternoon at Mpira Stadium in Blantyre.

The hosts dominated from the onset, showing hunger and intent to collect maximum points.

Bangwe took the lead in the 21st minute through Mathews Master, who capitalized on a defensive mix-up to slot home the opener.

Ten minutes later, Dayson Moffat doubled the advantage with a fine strike to make it 2-0 before halftime.

In the second half, Bangwe maintained their attacking rhythm and sealed the win in the 83rd minute when substitute Madalitso Mwachumu scored with a composed finish, putting the game beyond Mitundu Baptist’s reach.

Despite creating several chances, Mitundu Baptist failed to convert, with striker Rahim Tondele missing two clear opportunities that could have changed the game’s momentum.

Speaking after the match, Bangwe All Stars head coach Isaac Jomo Osman praised his players for their determination and tactical discipline.

“Today, the boys played a different kind of football. We used an attacking system because we didn’t want to sit deep and allow them space.

“Our goal was to score as many goals as possible. The fight for promotion to the Super League is still on, and we’ll keep pushing in the remaining matches,” said Osman.

On the other hand, Mitundu Baptist team manager Precious Phiri admitted defeat, saying his team was simply outplayed on the day.

“It just wasn’t our day. We had some good moments but we couldn’t make them count. I must also acknowledge that officiation wasn’t on our side but that’s part of the game,” he said.

After this result, Mitundu Baptist remain in 4th position with 25 points from 16 games, while Bangwe All Stars move just behind them in 5th place with 24 points, also from 16 matches.

Mutharika Picks Dr. Wenga-Wenga & Mandala in Strategic Youthful Appointments

President Peter Mutharika has signaled a generational shift in his administration by appointing youthful and highly qualified professionals to key government positions — a move that underscores his intent to blend experience with new intellectual energy.

In a statement issued by Chief Secretary to the Government, Justin Saidi, Mutharika appointed Dr. Max Wenga-Wenga as Executive Assistant to the President, exercising his constitutional powers under Section 89(1)(d).

Peter Mutharika
Peter Mutharika’s Inaugural Speech a Masterclass in Political Reset.

Dr. Wenga-Wenga, a respected technocrat and scholar, is widely regarded as one of the brightest minds in the civil service. Colleagues describe him as humble, patriotic, and results-driven. “With his technical know-how and working for a Professor President, I believe his full potential will be unleashed in the service of the motherland,” said a former colleague who preferred anonymity.

According to information on his LinkedIn profile, Dr. Wenga-Wenga holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing, where he also served as a Teaching Assistant in Econometrics. He obtained his Masters Degree in Development Economics and International Development from the International University of Japan and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (Economics) from the University of Malawi, where he was Chairman of the Economics Society.

Professionally, he has served in various senior positions, including Deputy Director of Policy and Planning in the Ministry of Water and Sanitation, Assistant Chief Economic Advisor in the Office of the President and Cabinet, and Principal Economist in the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development. His international exposure includes a stint as a Trade Fellow at the International Trade Centre in Geneva, Switzerland, and a period as a Lecturer at the University of Malawi.

Analysts say Dr. Wenga-Wenga’s appointment reflects Mutharika’s confidence in a new generation of technocrats capable of combining academic rigor with practical governance. “He embodies the modern civil servant — knowledgeable, disciplined, and patriotic,” said a senior government source.

In a related appointment, the President also named Mr. Sungani Mandala, aged 42, as Accountant General in the Ministry of Finance, Economic Planning, and Development — the youngest to hold the post in Malawi’s history. Mandala, who holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Malawi’s Polytechnic and an MBA from the University of Bradford in England, previously served as Director of Finance in the Office of the President and Cabinet.

The two appointments, effective immediately, are seen as a strong signal of Mutharika’s intent to modernize the public service through competence, youth, and integrity — a blend many hope will drive the next phase of Malawi’s administrative transformation.

HELP, Ammaye and Blasphemy Killing in Niger State

By Leo Igwe

The Humanist Enabling Life Project (HELP) has worked with the office of the National Human Rights Commission to support the son of a woman, Ammaye. Ammaye was accused and subsequently killed for blasphemy in Niger state in August. In his report, the state coordinator, Nuhu Mohammed, provides a background to the tragic incident: “Ammaye, a female food vendor, was brutally lynched and set ablaze by a mob in Kasuwan-Garba town, Mariga Local Government Area of Niger State, Nigeria. The incident occurred on August 29, 2025, after Ammaye allegedly made blasphemous remarks against Prophet Muhammad during a conversation with a customer”.

He explained how events unfolded and eventually led to the brutal murder of Ammaye: “The altercation began when a young man jokingly expressed interest in marrying Ammaye, citing the tradition of the Prophet (Sunnah). Ammaye’s response allegedly provoked the mob, which accused her of blasphemy. Despite attempts by security personnel to protect her, the mob overpowered them, stoned Ammaye to death, and set her body ablaze”.

According to his report, the police have made no progress on the case despite stating that they would bring the suspected killers to justice: “The Niger State Police Command confirmed the incident at the time and assured that efforts are being made to identify, arrest, and prosecute those involved. Police spokesperson Wasiu Abiodun stated that the police are “on top of the situation” and would bring the perpetrators to justice. Up till the time of filling this report, no arrest has been made and normalcy has returned to the community”. Similarly the NHRC office has been unable to effectively intervene. He further stated: “The office (the NHRC) has been in touch with the Police Public Relation Officer, SP Abiodun, and also with Abdullahi, the only surviving son of the deceased. Abdullahi, the son, confirmed what was reported as to the state of origin of the late mother, Katsina, her age 65years, and that she has lived in the area for over forty years and is a widow. According to him (Abdullahi), he has left everything for Allah to judge, and that further details be gotten from the Police. We have contacted the Police Public Relations Officer (SP Abiodun Wasiu). No arrest has been made”.

While it is disappointing that the police and the NHRC have not done the needful in addressing the matter,  and bring the culprits to justice, HELP worked with the NHRC office in Minna to provide some assistance and show some support for the victim’s family. As Mohammed stated in his report: “On Monday, October 13, I took off from Minna for a visit to Kasuwa Garba based on the arrangement with Humanist Enabling Life Project (HELP) after the provision of One Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira Only (N120,000)”. This amount covered the travel costs and some financial support for the son. As the report noted: “Abdullahi expressed his appreciation to HELP Initiative for the kind gesture and National Human Rights Commission for facilitating the process and the trouble to come and commiserate with him in person. He further reiterated that he has decided to leave everything in the hands of Allah and carry on with his life in the interest of peace”.

Victims of blasphemy allegations and killings need help. They deserve the love, care, and support that mechanisms and initiatives enabled by humanist principles and values can provide. As the murder of Ammaye has clearly illustrated, religious beliefs and doctrines motivate people to kill or be cruel to one another. They make people sanction, sanctify, and perpetrate horrific abuses with impunity. The brutal murder of Ammaye and others accused of blasphemy in Nigeria illustrates a moral failure of Islam as practiced in Nigeria. It demonstrates the incompatibility of Islamic teachings with life, hope, and happiness in the here and now.

Drawing from the well of humanism, HELP tries address these failures. HELP does something in situations where victims resign to their tragic experiences or the society ignores or does nothing.

Kendall Jenner Rocks Nicole Kidman’s ‘Moulin Rouge!’ Dress on Vogue Runway

Kendall Jenner channelled her inner showgirl at Vogue World: Hollywood 2025, stepping out in a familiar theatrical costume.

Dressed in the same crystal-encrusted black and white corseted gown worn by Nicole Kidman in 2001’s Moulin Rouge!, Jenner, 29, grinned as she strutted down the annual event’s Paramount Studios runway in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 26.

Tapping into the character of Satine, portrayed by Kidman, 58, in the Baz Luhrmann-directed romantic musical, Jenner pouted and placed her hands on her hips as she dazzled a celebrity-studded crowd that included Dakota Johnson, Mindy Kaling, Jennifer Connelly and Rita Ora.

Kidman, who is the fashion magazine’s October cover star, also appeared on the runway as the opening star, sporting a Chanel by Matthieu Blazy black satin bustier gown paired with a red lip and old Hollywood-inspired curls.

Nicole Kidman’s Chicest Red Carpet Looks Through the Years

Jenner made sure she attributed her scene-stealing look to the actress, taking to her Instagram Stories in the late hours of Sunday to post a still of Kidman in character as Satine while wearing the Moulin Rouge! piece. The model followed the photo with two additional Instagram Stories that captured herself during a pre-show fitting, grasping the bodice of her outfit to reveal its intricate diamond-studded details.

Kidman also marked the event via her own Instagram account, sharing a carousel of photos and videos that included a shot of herself posing next to Luhrmann, 63, and Vogue’s global chief content officer, Anna Wintour, prior to the event’s start.

The carousel also included behind-the-scenes footage of Kidman, who starred alongside Ewan McGregor in Moulin Rouge!, during a photo shoot as she playfully pouted and swung her hips for the camera.

Jenner’s Moulin Rouge! tribute followed her show-stopping work at the recent Schiaparelli Spring/Summer 2026 fashion show at Paris Fashion Week. Taking to the runway to close the show on October 2, Jenner wowed in a sheer gown with a nude mesh base that flashed major flesh. She paired the look with a black g-string, opera gloves, strappy heels and gold earrings.

As for Kidman in recent weeks, the actress has kept her down in light of her ongoing divorce from estranged husband, Keith Urban. Us Weekly confirmed last month that the Big Little Lies star and Urban, 58, called it quits after 19 years of marriage.

A source exclusively told Us on Friday, October 24, that Kidman is in a “good headspace” amid the pair’s separation, despite facing significant challenges. “The hardest part is navigating the dynamic with their daughters,” the source told Us, referring to Kidman and Urban’s daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

The insider continued, “The last thing Nicole wanted was a broken family … [Kidman] raised her daughters to be strong and is leading by example for them.”

The source also noted that Kidman has kept “very busy” amid the split, adding that her career serves as a positive distraction. “She is pushing forward in a good way,” the insider revealed. “She isn’t necessarily trying to find her new normal throughout all of this, because they had been quietly separated for a while now.”

Adrian Peterson Arrested for DWI and ‘Unlawful’ Weapon Carrying

Former Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson was arrested in Texas for driving while intoxicated and unlawfully carrying a weapon.

According to a report published on Sunday, October 26, by TMZ, Peterson, 40, was arrested in Sugar Land at around 10:00 a.m. that day.

Us Weekly confirmed via Fort Bend County jail records obtained on Sunday that Peterson was charged with “unlawful carrying [of a] weapon” and “DWI.”

Us has reached out to a representative for Peterson for comment, as well as the Sugar Land Police Department for comment.

Ariana Biermann’s DUI Arrest: Everything to Know

TMZ noted via its Sunday coverage that Peterson, who played running back for the Vikings from 2007 and through the 2016 season, was arrested in April for DWI “after the Vikings draft day party when a police officer claimed they saw him going 83 in a 55 MPH zone just after 3 a.m.”

Further reporting on Sunday’s arrest by local news outlet KHOU 11 stated that “the investigation is still active.”

Peterson’s trouble with the law goes as far back as 2014, when he suspended by the NFL for one year following a charge of felony child abuse for using “a switch to spank his then 4-year-old son,” per reporting by ABC News at the time. Peterson pleaded no contest in the case, which resulted in a reduced charge of misdemeanor reckless assault, per the outlet’s coverage.

Former NFL Star Greg Hardy Arrested For Allegedly Assaulting Family Member

Peterson’s then-agent, Ron Slavin, said in a statement obtained by the outlet at the time that, “there is nothing more important to Adrian Peterson than being a good father to his children.” Slavin also noted that Peterson “learned several valuable lessons” in 2014 as a result of the suspension and subsequent counseling.

Peterson himself also released a statement regarding the incident, published by ESPN at the time. “I have learned a lot and have had to reevaluate how I discipline my son going forward,” the statement read. “But deep in my heart I have always believed I could have been one of those kids that was lost in the streets without the discipline instilled in me by my parents and other relatives. I have always believed that the way my parents disciplined me has a great deal to do with the success I have enjoyed as a man. I love my son and I will continue to become a better parent and learn from any mistakes I ever make.”

In the hours following 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, Peterson’s wife, Ashley Brown, who married the athlete in July 2014, shared an Instagram Story throwback photo of her husband playing in the NFL.

Celebrity Mugshots Through the Years: Lindsay Lohan, Shia LaBeouf and More

As for Peterson’s online activity, the former footballer shared an Instagram Story in the late hours of Saturday, October 25, that captured a live musical performance in a darkened room.

Peterson is a Palestine, Texas, native who also played for the Arizona Cardinals for a single season, the Washington Redskins for two seasons, the Detroit Lions, the Tennessee Totals and the Seattle Seahawks. He played 15 seasons for the NFL in total.

INTERNATIONAL APPEAL FOR SUPPORT BEHIND MADAGASCAR’S RECONSTRUCTION PLAN

Madagascar is facing a new political environment, thanks to the timely intervention of the military in that country, the situation would have been worst than the 2011 genocide in Libya.  The situation was triggered by oppression, a failed governance system and lack of political will to address the demands and aspirations of the people of Madagascar.

On 14th October, 2025 the military in Madagascar took over the helm of affairs, to avert a serious humanitarian crisis in the East African nation. This came after the former dictator, President Andry Rajoelina fled the country to an unknown destination, and abandoned his people to perish at the pity and mercy of the national Police forces. Based on this, that the Madagasy Military, acting as a savior, had no other alternative but to fill the vacuum created by the departure of the former dictator.

The situation in Madagascar remains unstable with former European colonial masters threatening to do everything to return the former fascist government to power. The African Union’s (AU) suspension of an African country hit already a nation facing wholesale poverty, oppression and environmental degradation.

Prior to the intervention of the Madagasy military to save their country from further destruction and devastation under the fascist dictatorship of former President Andry Rajoelina, Madagascar was plunged into a devastating humanitarian crisis. In other words, the era of the former dictator was a period where many Madagasy people suffered indignities, with a weak governance system and limited progress towards development and sustainable environment, where social cohesion was completely eroded, access to basic services disrupted, livelihoods destroyed, and where protection risks jumped considerably.

Against the backdrop of changing current narratives that the New African Charter International (NACI) is seeking donor funding to help Madagascar, which is facing an unprecedented crisis created by years of fascist dictatorship governance, economic failures and weeks of nationwide street protests. It is the view of NACI that, with this appeal to donors there is every reason to believe that help will be forth-going to the competent authorities in Antananarivo, to help the government of President Colonel Michael Randrianirina implement its rehabilitation and reconstruction programmes.

The new government of Antananarivo has laid down its priorities and one of them is to embark upon an accelerated program of development and prosperity that will benefit all the people of Madagascar. This will be possible only with outside support and funding, which would be needed to help the new government address the challenges on the ground.

From a survey on the situation on the ground, the rehabilitation and reconstruction needs in the short, medium and long term across Madagascar would run to billions of US Dollars. The plain truth is that, the suffering of the people of Madagascar is not over yet, though there is a new government in Antananarivo. The country faces massive challenges simply in wiping-off the wounds and scars inflicted over the past painful years. The situation in Madagascar should be a concern to all good people, especially those who believe and advocate peace, freedom and homeland dignity, and this would depend on how the international community will respond and ready to shoulder its responsibility towards the people of Madagascar.

The past political leaders of Madagascar had positioned Madagascar to the level of a beggar nation. The world is indebted to the plight of Madagascar, a nation that has been raped, pillaged, and destroyed by regional and foreign powers and is referred to as a failed state under the former dictator Andry Rajoelina.

Madagascar has passed through successive crises since 2009, a political crisis generated by foreign backed coups and counter coups. It was in this process that the then Mayor of Antananarivo, the capital city, Andry Rajoelina was imposed as Head of state and Commander-In-Chief in the East African nation. Besides, Madagascar had also faced an electoral crisis and a deepened humanitarian emergency, driven by a cycle of failed governance system, corruption and a battered economy. The consequences of this crisis have been the failure by political leaders to fight abject poverty and other social ills, and as well as the frequent degradation of the environment due to climate-related crises such as drought and cyclones. This political instability, coupled by epileptic state institutions, dysfunctional economic system, infrastructural decadence, worsening social disorderliness and national food insecurity crisis are the challenges before the new government in Antananarivo, led by President Colonel Michael Randrianirina.

There is a need to resist outside pressures to join the African Union’s (AU) policy of collective punishment towards our African brothers and sisters in Madagascar. NACI opposes any foreign-dictated decision to kick a sovereign African nation, such as Madagascar and the Sahel states out of the activities of the AU. NACI opposes also the threats and aggressive rhetoric statements by some African leaders against another African state; and deplores the view held by many of the most powerful nations in the world that collective punishment is an acceptable foreign policy to be meted on weaker nations.

Now Madagascar is but a shadow of its former glorious self and the new government in Antananarivo has laid its plans to rebuild its country as a credible, just and regional power endowed with good governance, political stability, economic growth, social justice, and environmental safety. Madagascar needs help, and not hate, malice or grudges! The new government in the East African nation of Madagascar needs help to rebuild its infrastructure and provide its people with the means to build and rebuild a nation for the good of current and future generations.

It is clearly in the interests of regional peace, political stability and development, and sustainable environment that the African Union should rescind its hate policy towards Madagascar and its people. It is also in the interests of all peoples and nations of the world that political leaders must place the interests of their people first, before any other selfish interests. We urge the African Union to help resolve problems faced by member-states by employing all diplomatic avenues and political efforts, without compromising the demands and aspirations of the people, or allowing for lives to be destroyed.

The New African Charter International expresses its deep concern regarding the West’s hatred for Africa and African people. The current political development in Madagascar calls for understanding of the demands and aspirations of the people in that country, and not to what France or other detractors are selling out to the public. Rather, we call on international development partners to act in light of the current critical circumstances, as well as the necessity of strengthening joint international efforts to help rehabilitate and build the East African nation, and not to sow the seeds of destabilisation that would have negative impacts on the lives of the people.

The current political crisis sweeping across Africa today is partly driven by a desire to impose a neo-colonial agenda on the continent. Africans all over the world have intimated their rejection of France’s neo-colonial and meddling mentality in the affairs of the continent. The issue of the Gen-Z movement in Africa cannot be underestimated, it would never be wiped-off from the face of the earth by any threats, or force, or by media manipulation, threats or blackmail.

Peace would remain elusive in Africa unless NATO rescinds or abandons its aggressive, inhumane and oppressive policy towards the continent. France’s aggressive rhetoric towards Madagascar was mooted by a desire to deflect world attention away from the real issues. Instead the former colonial Empire opts to hide the shocking ground realities by peddling lies and projecting its concocted normalcy narrative on Madagascar. The truth remains that during the reign of the former dictator, Madagascar witnessed the erosion of the country’s freedom, human rights values, socio-political freedom and environmental justice.

Today, we join the people of Madagascar and Africans all over the world to demand respect for our continent. And, we end this statement by calling upon the international community to come forward and lend its support to the new people’s government in Antananarivo, under the wise leadership of President Colonel Michael Randrianirina.

Madagascar will rise again!

Suspected MCP thug Dala Kadula defiles MHRC summon for threatening to kill activist Chimwemwe Mhango

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The suspected Malawi Congress Party (MCP) thug Dala Kadula is reportedly snubbed Malawi Human Rights Commission (MHRC) summons after the Commission received a life threening assault’ complaint from human rights activist Chimwemwe Mhango in March this year.

According to MHRC letter in our possession dated March 21, 2024, Kadula snubbed the commission summon till now when MCP is out of power.

The Maravi Post understands that the victim Mhango, the former Malawi Defence Force (MDF) officer was threatened with a gun after he participated concerned citizens denominations which Bon Kalindo held in Zomba last year.

Following Kadula threats to kill Mhango with a gun at a certain place in Lilongwe, the victim (Mhango) reported the matter to Kawale Police.

Despite Kawale Police issuing summons letter over the matter, Kadula also threatened the officers at that time as he was unattainable hence MHRC contact.

“The Human Rights Commissioni (hereinafter referred to as “the Commission) is in receipt of a complaint by Mr. Chimwemwe Mbeya Mhango (Ntchindi) (hereinafter referred to as the complainant) against yourself.

“The complainant claims that you and a party activist belonging to the Malawi Congress Party: His complaint against you is that you have threatened to kill himm following some work-related disagreements,” reads MHRC letter in part.

“Given the above, the Commission would theretore like to hear your side of the story concerning the above allegations. You are therefore advised to present before the Commis on Thursday 28 March 2024.

“Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated”, reads MHRC summon letter signed by its Director of Civil and Political Rights Peter Chisi.

This publication understands that Kadula also assaulted the commission messenger upon receiving the letter.

But the commission hinted that “it’s still pursuing the matter”.

When contacted on whether his complaint was sorted, Mhango says, “It’s over a year and some months after I lodged complaint to both Police and MHRC about Kadula threats to kill me.

“I’m still seeking justice from authorities on this matter as the Kadula is a threat to citizens and national security”.

Mhango adds, “Kadula was unattainable during MCP regime. No-one could bother seek support from security agencies despite assaulting others”.

This publication understanKadula is under police custody for being suspected of assaulting Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) members at Mbowe in Lilongwe.

Kadula is said to be leading panga-raiding thugs that kept on terrorising demonstrators against outside President Lazarus Chakwera and MCP leadership.

Kadula is also to have be MCP Secretary General Richard Chimwendo Banda’s errand boy.

With the arrest of Kadula while served with MHRC summon letter, it should be clear warning to youths who are usually used by political parties gurus to assault others.

With the change of leadership, Kadula is now subjected to justice on various assaults he committed under Chakwera-MCP leadership.
