‘RHOA’ Star Porsha Williams Is Dating a Woman After Simon Guobadia Divorce

The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Porsha Williams revealed she’s dating a woman after finalizing her divorce from Simon Guobadia.

Discussing her dating life during an appearance at New York City’s CultureCon, staged from Saturday, October 4 to Sunday, October 5, Williams, 44, spoke about two new connections.

Fan footage of her appearance was shared via Instagram on Sunday, capturing Williams, who filed to divorce Guobadia in February after 15 months of marriage, telling the audience, “The people who I’m talking to now … it’s just two, I narrowed it down to two, and he is nice and she is nice.”

The candid commentary drew gasps from the crowd, which Williams laughed off before continuing. “I really just wanted to make sure that these were normal people,” she said. “And what I talked to my therapist the other day was, I’m having a hard time opening up because they’re not narcissists and guess what narcissists do? They … mirror you, and these people are not, they’re challenging you, they’re asking me questions, they’re not letting me walk over them.”

Porsha Williams Called Simon Guobadia Her ‘Ride or Die’ Days Before Divorce

Williams’ split from Guobadia, 61, was reported on February 23, with an insider telling People at the time that the breakup was unrelated to troubles experienced by the couple due to Guobadia’s citizenship status. (Guobadia was detained by ICE, as confirmed by Us Weekly on February 21.)

Us confirmed that the Nigerian-born native was deported back to his home country in June after spending several months in detainment.

During a March confessional that featured on RHOA, Williams opened up about how quickly her relationship with Guobadia changed over their brief marriage. “One of my joys was getting up in the morning and just thinking about what I could do to make [Simon] happy, and I genuinely felt he was the same way about me,” Porsha told the camera during her confessional at the time. “I would have rode to the end of the world with this man, but the person I’m now mourning, he was not real.”

Porsha Williams Thanks Fans for ‘Support’ After Simon Guobadia Divorce News

The former couple’s relations grew more complicated in the months that followed their separation, with Us exclusively reporting in July that Guobadia filed a federal lawsuit against Williams which included a request for alleged “reputation, emotional distress and humiliation” damages of $500,000. Williams denied these allegations. This legal battle has not yet been resolved.

Guobadia also formally appealed the pair’s initial divorce judgement, which saw Williams awarded spousal support and various assets.

Last month, Williams celebrated her ex-husband losing the divorce judgement appeal, as confirmed by Us on September 9. She also took to Instagram that day to share the words, “It’s over,” without any further details, however, a video of her boarding a private jet was captioned with, “Free.”

At CultureCon, Williams reflected on her own previous relationship behavior, noting that she’s ready to make changes to help her find happiness moving forward. “What I have to do is realize if you want something different, you have to also be different,” she told the crowd. “I have to soften up a bit.”

How Many Times Taylor Swift Nods to Travis Kelce In ‘Fate of Ophelia’ Video

Taylor Swift has fiancé Travis Kelce on the brain, paying tribute to him several times in her “The Fate of Ophelia” music video.

While the video’s most obvious nod to the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, 36, comes as a grinning Swift catches and passes a football while sliding down a hallway singing the lyrics, “Pledge allegiance to your hands, your team, your vibes,” three other loving references bring the grand total to four.

Released by Swift, 35, on Sunday, October 5, the video features a dressing room door with the number “87” hanging from it — a nod to Kelce’s Chiefs jersey number.

A third tribute to Kelce, who proposed to Swift in a floral-filled garden in August, arrives when Swift is inside the video’s dressing room, surrounded by fellow dancers dressed in sparkling red costumes. In the background of the group’s gathering, a black and white photo of Kelce appears to be stuck to the corner of a vanity mirror.

Every Time Taylor Swift References Travis Kelce on Her ‘Showgirl’ Album

Fans took to social media in the aftermath of the video’s release — the first off Swift’s 12th studio album The Life of a Showgirl — to speculate over the black and white photo’s origin. Per a report by Page Six, published on Sunday, some guessed it was a frame from Kelce’s 2016 Catching Kelce reality series, others believed it stemmed from his October 2024 guest role in Ryan Murphy’s Grotesquerie, and further people thought it was from Kelce’s 2016 interview for AfterBuzz TV when he revealed wanted to to “kiss” Swift. (The old interview also revealed that Kelce wanted to “kill” Ariana Grande and “marry” Katy Perry.)

A third lyrical nod to Kelce is made when Swift sings, “I heard you calling / On the megaphone / You wanna see me all alone,” which is likely referencing Kelce unsuccessfully trying to gift Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it during her Eras Tour before the pair had connected. (Kelce detailed his failed attempt during a July 2023 episode of his podcast, “New Heights.”)

Did Taylor Swift Put Old Travis Kelce Pic in ‘Fate of Ophelia’ Music Video?

Swift’s new music video is filled with plenty of additional glamor, opening with the singer coming to life out of a picture before she ventures through various time periods. Portraying multiple characters, Swift donned several outfits and hairstyles, including wigs that spanned long and black, to long and curly red.

The music video concludes with Swift lying in a bathtub of water, extending the artwork featured on the The Life of a Showgirl’s album cover.

Swift formally announced her new album during a guest appearance on “New Heights.” As she sat next to her then-boyfriend during her interview, Swift told the podcast’s cohost, Travis’ older brother Jason Kelce, that she wanted to “show” him something.

“This is my brand new album, The Life of a Showgirl,” she said, opening up a mint green case with her initials on the front to pull out her record.

She then unveiled the album’s full 12-song track listing: “The Fate of Ophelia,” “Elizabeth Taylor,” “Opalite,” “Father Figure,” “Eldest Daughter,” “Ruin the Friendship,” “Actually Romantic,” “Wish List,” “Wood,” “Cancelled!,” “Honey” and “The Life of a Showgirl” featuring Sabrina Carpenter.

Alfred Gangata takes office: A closer look at Malawi’s Minister of State

….Evaluating competence, credibility, and public expectations in the newly appointed executive role.

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Alfred Gangata’s appointment as Minister of State marks a significant moment in the new administration.

His role will require balancing political obligations with administrative efficiency and public service delivery.

Assessing his performance requires examining not only his personal competence but also the broader dynamics of the cabinet.

Gangata brings prior experience and expertise from his previous positions, which will inform his approach to governance.

Citizens and analysts will closely watch his track record to determine if past achievements translate into effective leadership in this new role.

The Minister of State must demonstrate strong managerial and technical skills to coordinate initiatives across ministries and government agencies.

Equally important is how the cabinet reflects Malawi’s regional, ethnic, and cultural diversity.

Gangata’s appointment contributes to this balance, which remains a cornerstone of inclusive governance.

Gender representation within the cabinet is also under scrutiny, as public expectations increasingly demand equitable inclusion.

Political cohesion is another critical factor, and Gangata will need to navigate relationships with allied parties and factions to maintain stability.

Policy alignment with the president’s agenda is essential to ensure that initiatives reflect the administration’s priorities.

Gangata’s ideological fit with the broader government vision will determine his ability to drive reforms and implement new policies effectively.

Integrity and credibility are vital in establishing public trust, particularly given Malawi’s history of political controversies.

Gangata must demonstrate ethical conduct, transparency, and a commitment to responsible governance to gain citizen confidence.

Team dynamics within the cabinet will affect his capacity to work collaboratively, manage conflicts, and contribute to collective decision-making.

Leadership style is critical, as Gangata will need to guide staff and stakeholders while responding to emerging crises efficiently.

Public expectations remain high, with citizens looking for improved service delivery, policy clarity, and responsiveness to societal needs.

Effective communication will be key in explaining government initiatives and defending decisions in the face of scrutiny.

Early indicators of performance, such as policy announcements, budget management, and stakeholder engagement, will reveal the minister’s practical effectiveness.

Monitoring Gangata’s initial months in office will provide insight into his ability to transform expectations into tangible results.

A comparative analysis between what is promised and what is delivered over the first three to six months will distinguish real capability from political hype.

Ultimately, Alfred Gangata’s tenure as Minister of State will serve as a measure of how effectively the administration combines political appointments with competent, results-oriented governance.

Influencer Anna Muller Addresses Backlash After Husband Took Her Last Name

TikTok influencer Anna Muller responded to criticism over her husband, Cameron Muller, taking her last name after they were recently married.

In an interview with People, published on Sunday, October 5, Anna spoke about the couple’s decision, which was formalized via legal paperwork filed by Cameron at the end of September.

“A lot of people think, ‘You flipped tradition,’ and that’s not what happened,” Anna told the outlet. “We evolved past it. It’s so important that there’s more conversation and it’s more normalized that there are different ways to go about partnerships that can be more equal.”

The TikTok video that sparked outrage was shared by Anna on September 27. It showed Cameron walking through the couple’s front door with paperwork in his hand as a caption read, “Just married and he officially took my last name.” Cameron excitedly told the camera in the clip, “I am officially Mr. Muller.”

Influencer Becca Murray Defends Setting Up a Divorce Registry Post Split

More than 4,000 comments were left on the post, which saw more than 2.2 million views, including several damning conclusions. “He took your dad’s last name. You’re now siblings,” wrote one TikTok user, while another commented, “My wife and I could never. This is embarrassing imo.”

After initially labelling the backlash “outrageous” via TikTok several days later, Anna also took to her Instagram on Sunday to speak further about the criticism. “You know that the comments you make are public, right? Accountability will also be public 🤍,” Anna wrote alongside multiple screenshots of critical comments. “This is addressing a viral video of mine that has gotten a lot of backlash and controversy (which is actually absurd) particularly because all the video is about is my husband taking my last name when we got married. That’s literally it, that’s the outrage. Apparently.”

During her interview with People, Anna was joined by Cameron who shared his own take on the ordeal. “It wasn’t a lengthy, drawn-out conversation,” Cameron said, with the outlet noting that the pair share German heritage so taking Muller as his own last name “made a lot of sense for both of them.”

Bachelor Nation’s Dean Unglert and Caelynn Miller-Keyes Are Married

Cameron continued, “I was surprised because for me, this is very normal. I value the partnership that we have. We are equals, which is why it was not assumed that Anna was going to take my name. I was surprised that people were so upset about a man taking a woman’s name or that there was even a conversation around not taking my name.”

Anna also expanded on her thoughts while talking to the outlet, criticizing social media users who believe that a man taking his wife’s last name diminishes his masculinity. “If your masculinity depends on submission, I don’t think that’s masculinity,” Anna said. “That screams insecurity. A name or tradition isn’t what makes a man, either. I think it’s actions, it’s character.”

Anna also offered some words of advice to her social media haters. “Tap into what’s meaningful, what’s what matters, what feels right, what feels good, and go into that in more of an equal intuitive space,” she told the outlet. “Giving yourself the space and opportunity to talk about that as a partnership and feel out what feels good.”

Ben Stiller Says He Was ‘Lost’ During Separation From Wife Christine Taylor

Ben Stiller is pulling back the curtain on his years-long separation from his wife, Christine Taylor.

After Ben’s dad, Jerry Stiller, died in 2020, the actor started to consider the possibility of making a film about his famous parents. While his career at the time was doing well, Ben, 59, couldn’t say the same about his personal life.

“My career had been going along for a long time but things actually weren’t great in my personal life,” Ben recalled in the documentary Stiller & Meara: Nothing is Lost, which premiered at the New York Film Festival on Sunday, October 5, per People. “I just felt out of balance and unhappy and kind of disconnected from my family, from my kids and just kind of a little bit lost.”

He continued, “I started to think about my parents and all the stress and tension I remember seeing as a kid and the pressure when they were working together and how they stayed together through it. … I think I wanted to somehow understand how they did it.”

Ben Stiller Shares Rare Look Into His Marriage With Christine Taylor

Ben and Taylor were together for 17 years before announcing their separation in 2017.

“With tremendous love and respect for each other, and the 18 years we spent together as a couple, we have made the decision to separate,” the pair told Us Weekly via a joint statement at the time. “Our priority will continue to be raising our children as devoted parents and the closest of friends. We kindly ask that the media respect our privacy at this time.”

The pair — who share Ella, 23, and Quinn, 20 — revealed in 2022 that they got back together.

“Then, over the course of time, [our relationship] evolved,” he told Esquire in an interview published in 2022, explaining that he moved back in with Taylor and their kids during the COVID-19 pandemic. “We were separated and got back together and we’re happy about that. It’s been really wonderful for all of us. Unexpected, and one of the things that came out of the pandemic.”

Ben Stiller Reflects on Years-Long Separation With Wife Christine Taylor

Since their rekindling, Ben has given glimpses of his relationship dynamic with Taylor. In January, Ben recalled that his marriage was not “in a great place” after moving from California back to New York after the release of Zoolander 2.

“There was a lot going on,” Ben told The New York Times. “When we separated, it was just having space to see what our relationship was, what my life felt like when we weren’t in that relationship, how much I loved our family unit.”

He continued, “It was like three or four years that we weren’t together but we always were connected. In my mind, I never didn’t want us to be together. I don’t know where Christine was, you’d have to ask her, but Covid put us all together in the same house.”

When the reporter called the timing “an act of God,” Ben agreed with the sentiment.

“It was almost a year of living in the same house before we were actually together,” Ben explained. “But I’m so grateful for it, and I think not that many people do come back together when they separate. There’s nothing like that, when you come back. You have so much more appreciation for what you have, because we know we could not have it.”

Stiller & Meara: Nothing Is Lost screens in select theaters beginning on October 17 and is available to stream on Apple TV+ October 24.
