Anthony Taberna hits back at Pinky Amador: ‘Walang fake news sa amin’

Radio host Anthony Taberna asserted he does not sell ‘fake news’ in his restaurant, in response to actress Pinky Amador’s apparent dig at him.

Amador earlier visited a branch of Taberna’s restaurant and quipped about buying ‘fake news.’ Her remark came after the latter claimed that Sen. Risa Hontiveros made insertions or amendments to the 2025 national budget, amid the corruption allegations hounding other members of the Senate.

The radio host took to his Facebook page on Thursday, Oct. 9, to address Amador.

‘Ma’am Pinky Amador, wala pong fake news sa amin,’ he said. (Ma’am Pinky Amador, we do not have fake news [in our restaurant].)

‘Pero try niyo po ang MALUTONG na MURA pa na rice crackers,’ he added. (But you may try our crunchy and cheap rice crackers.)

In a separate post, Taberna also shared a photo of his restaurant with customers lining up.

‘[Thank you] for patronizing faith news,’ he said in the caption, an apparent play on the ‘fake news’ remark.

Amador has yet to respond to this as of writing.

Meanwhile, Hontiveros denied making insertions in the 2025 budget, saying she even opposed the passage of the controversial 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA)
