A magnitude 3.2 earthquake was felt in Nasugbu, Batangas, on Tuesday morning, Oct. 14, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported.
The tremor struck at 6:11 a.m., with its epicenter 24 kilometers southwest of the town. It was tectonic in origin, occurring at a depth of 130 km-caused by sudden movement along faults and plate boundaries.
Phivolcs said no damage or aftershocks are expected.
On Sept. 18, Nasugbu experienced a magnitude 3.3 earthquake, located 65 km south of Manila.
On Monday, two minor quakes also hit Batangas: a magnitude 2.9 tremor in Tingloy town and a magnitude 2.4 quake in Calatagan municipality
