Kapuso actress Carla Abellana unearthed a video on her phone containing footage of the garage belonging to controversial government contractors Curlee and Sarah Discaya.
A couple of months ago, Carla noted the Discayas’ garage looked familiar after it clips of the couples’ expensive vehicles from their interview with journalist Julius Babao circulated online.
“Ah, sa kanila pala lahat yun! Nag-taping na kami sa building na yan sa Pasig!” Carla said at the time. “And I was like, ‘parang alam ko na kung ano ang ‘business’ ng may-ari nitong mga to.'”
The actress brought up the garage again last week after discovering she still had a video of it on her phone, posting the footage on her Facebook account.
“Just found this in my camera roll. Hindi ko pa pala nade-delete. This is it! This is the video i was talking about that i took at taping 2 years ago!” Carla said.
Seen in the video are a Rolls-Royce Cullinan and a Bentley Bentayga, two luxury vehicles that the Discayas revaled they owned.
A Rolls-Royce Cullinan is valued between P30 million and P60 million while a Bentley Bentayga ranges from P15 million and P18 million.
“Back then I didn’t know who the Discayas were or who the building even belonged to. But upon seeing the garage (where we couldn’t even park due to the lack of space) I knew right away that there was something fishy about their ‘business,'” Carla added.
With their hope of turning state witness in the flood control corruption scandal dashed, the Discayas said they would longer cooperate with the Independent Commission for Infrastructure investigating project anomalies.
The Discayas are currently facing a P7.1-billion tax evasion case for failing to pay income, excise, and documentary stamp taxes.
