PRESS RELEASE – EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY OF CYPRUS

Intensive European Training Programme on Inclusive Learning at European University Cyprus

The Center of Excellence for Research and Innovation in Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities (SoScieAtH) of European University Cyprus (EUC) hosted the Intensive Training Programme of the Erasmus+ project TRANSIT (Transition into Teaching for Inclusive and Diverse Learning) from 13 to 17 October 2025.

The project, co-funded by the European Union and coordinated by Linköping University (Sweden), brings together universities from Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Cyprus with the aim of supporting new and early-career teachers in their transition from university to the classroom, while promoting inclusive and multicultural learning.

During the training week, students, novice teachers, and mentors participated in interactive workshops and activities focusing on collaboration, educational beliefs, creativity through Playful Learning, and simulations of real-life classroom scenarios. The week concluded with reflection sessions and exchange of ideas on improving teaching practices and advancing inclusion in education.

At the same time, the pilot implementation of the project’s online modules was launched, designed to empower teachers and mentors across Europe through flexible digital learning tools.

The TRANSIT programme highlighted the importance of international collaboration and lifelong professional development, laying the foundation for a more open, inclusive, and creative education across Europe.
