‘Dreamboi,’ a film that initially earned two X ratings from the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), emerged as the biggest winner of the inaugural CineSilip Film Festival, bagging the majority of the major awards, including Best Film and Best Director.
The CineSilip jury recognized the Rodina Singh-helmed film for its story on trans representation when it comes to addressing desire, as well as other entries on the festival’s awards night on Monday, Oct. 27. The jury was composed of filmmakers Erik Matti and Joy Aquino, as well as Manunuri ng Pelikulang Pilipino member Tito Valiente.
