The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) reported on Thursday morning heavy traffic in Capulong Street, Tondo, Manila in the area of Manila International Container Terminal (MICT) access roads due to an increased volume of trucks in time for Undas 2025.
In a post on Facebook, the agency said PPA-MICT and International Container Terminal Services Inc. have coordinated with the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau and the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority to implement traffic management measures and ensure that trucks occupy only a single lane.
It then provided the following traffic situation as of 10:30 am:
Inbound SAR: Loaded
Outbound SAR: Minimal (No Queuing)
International Port Basin Road: Minimal (No Queuing)
GPS Arming: Moderate (Tail end: VTSM Tower)
GPS Disarming: Loaded
‘Affected truck drivers and other motorists are advised to allow extra travel time and, if possible, avoid this route for now,’ said PPA.
