The Producer Price Index in Industry recorded an annual decrease of 0.6% in September 2025, reaching 122.3 units (base 2021=100), according to data published by the Statistical Service of Cyprus. Compared with August 2025, the index fell by 0.4%, while for the period January-September 2025 it recorded a decrease of 0.4% compared with the corresponding period of 2024.
On a monthly basis, the index remained stable in the sectors of mining and quarrying and manufacturing, while it increased by 0.4% in the sector of water supply and material recovery. In contrast, a decrease of 2.0% was recorded in the electricity supply sector.
Compared with September 2024, an increase was observed in the sectors of mining and quarrying (8.6%) and manufacturing (0.9%), while a decrease was recorded in electricity supply (-6.3%) and water supply and material recovery (-4.1%).
By manufacturing division, annual increases were recorded in the manufacture of furniture, other manufacturing activities and repair and installation of machinery and equipment (4.3%), in the production of refined petroleum products, chemicals and chemical products and pharmaceutical products and preparations (2.5%), in the manufacture of electronic and optical products and electrical equipment (2.4%), in the manufacture of paper and paper products and printing (2.1%), and in the production of other non-metallic mineral products (1.6%). In contrast, a decrease was recorded in the food, beverages and tobacco industry (-0.3%).
