Kyline Alcantara opened up about her learnings from her previous heartbreaks, expressing hopes that the next man in her life will be someone kind, ‘more mature and mentally stable.’
‘Just set boundaries with your partner, the public, and also with my parents, brothers. At dapat kilalanin mo rin talaga ‘yung sarili mo (And you should really know yourself),’ she said in a ‘Fast Talk with Boy Abunda’ interview on Friday, Oct. 31.
The actress acknowledged that while her journey was not easy, it was worth it because she came out of it whole. She also reiterated that she will never give up on love.
When asked to describe what characteristics she wants her next beau to have, Alcantara responded, ‘Wala po ako sa pisikal e, sa ugali po ako. Sana mas mature, mas stable mentally, mabait, will respect my family, and will respect me not just as a woman but as a person.’
(I am not after physical traits. I hope he’s someone more mature, mentally stable, kind, and who will respect my family and me – not just as a woman but as a person.)
Show host Abunda then quipped if she would want someone rich, to which she replied, ‘Why not? Pero syempre hindi naman po ‘yung first thing para makipagrelasyon ako.’ (But of course, it’s not the first trait I am looking for in someone I’ll have a relationship with.)
Alcantara also admitted that after the very public relationships and heartbreaks she had, she became more private about her love life.
Alcantara previously dated basketball player-model Kobe Paras. Prior to that, she was in a relationship with Mavy Legaspi.
