Over 42,000 passengers travel via PITX on morning of All Saints’ Day

More than 42,000 passengers traveled through the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) on the morning of All Saints’ Day, November 1.

As of 9 a.m. this Saturday, PITX senior corporate affairs officer Kolyn Calbasa said the terminal recorded a total of 42,468 passengers, mostly those arriving and departing from Metro Manila.

The data on Saturday morning added to the almost 1 million passengers who have travelled via PITX since October 27 for the Undas break.

PITX earlier said that from October 27 to October 31, a total of 929,271 passengers arrived at the terminal – 188,624 on October 27; 181,090 on October 28; 185,051 on October 29; 194,468 on October 30; and 180,038 on October 31.

Daily traffic during this period was high compared to the usual 160,000 passengers on a regular day.

Most of the trips this Undas were bound for the Bicol Region, followed by Laguna-Batangas-Quezon, northern Luzon provinces, Occidental and Oriental Mindoro, and the Visayas-Mindanao regions.

Around 2.1 million passengers are expected to pass through PITX from October 27 to November 3.
