Nikki Valdez is in grief as she bid farewell to her 12-year-old pet dog Trevor who died after years of battling a heart disease.
The celebrity fur mom held a wake for her dog, as seen on her Instagram page on Thursday, Nov. 27. In the caption, Valdez lamented the pain of losing Trevor.
‘No pet parent can ever be ready for this kind of pain. It was so unexpected and sudden,’ she said.
Addressing her dog, she continued, ‘My boy, my strong boy Trevor. You were so little but had a lot of love and happiness to give. You were a fighter-survived an emergency surgery at 9 years old and continued to fight an enlarged heart since 2021.’
Valdez noted how Trevor had fought so hard despite his condition, underscoring how their family shared a lot of precious memories with him.
‘Run free and rest now. Say hi to your bro Travis and have the best time in doggie heaven where there is no pain and you can finally have all the bananas, watermelon and other treats that you love,’ she added.
‘We love you sooooo much my litol Lolo.. Goodnight. Sleep tight,’ she concluded.
Among those who offered words of comfort to Valdez were her fellow celebrities and fur parents Heart Evangelista, Carla Abellana and Janice de Belen.
