Kabaka urges subjects to remain united

Kabaka of Buganda, Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, has called on his subjects to remain united, saying that collective support is essential for the kingdom’s progress.

Speaking during the CBS FM Enkuuka celebrations on New Year’s Eve, the Kabaka expressed gratitude to those who attended the event and supported cultural initiatives.

“First of all, I want to thank you for the overwhelming number who have come here today, during the celebrations of the CBS Enkuuka on New Year’s Eve,” he said. “We thank those who support these activities, and I urge you to continue backing them.”

The Kabaka praised participants in the Luganda competitions, particularly those who reached the finals, and highlighted the importance of preserving Buganda’s culture and values.

“When foreigners came here, they appreciated our culture, behaviors, clan leadership, and language. This reflects the decency and values we uphold in Buganda,” he said.

Kabaka Mutebi urged his people to protect their legacy, remain determined, and embrace unity as a path to success.

“Unity is the way to victory. Do not lose hope. If we stay focused on our objectives, we shall win,” he said.
