Ukraine is the top issue on our agenda, Cyprus’ Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos said on Friday after a telephone conversation with his Ukranian counterpart Andrii Sybiha.
“Had a constructive and timely call with @andrii_sybiha in the framework of @CY2026EU (Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU). Was briefed about the ongoing efforts towards a just and lasting peace in Ukraine” Kombos wrote on ‘X’.
We remain, he added, “steadfast in supporting Ukraine and our solidarity remains unwavering”.
“Ukraine’s EU accession process was also discussed and well as the priorities of the Cyprus Presidency. Ukraine is the top issue on our agenda,” he concluded.
