The European Council building in Brussels, located at Schuman Square, has been decorated with the banners of the Cyprus Presidency on Monday. The Cyprus Presidency symbol, a sun with 27 rays, inspired by traditional Lefkara embroidery, is now prominently displayed on the building’s facade.
This decoration is a unique tradition that takes place every six months, marking which of the 27 EU member states holds the rotating presidency of the Council of the EU.
