World Health and Safety Day 2026: Open Awareness Event by ERB ASFALISTIKI
ERB ASFALISTIKI, in collaboration with the Department of Labor Inspection of the Ministry of Labour and Social Insurance, and the Cyprus Health and Safety Association (CYHSA), continue to strengthen their cooperation through informative and educational initiatives. The common aim is to raise public awareness on issues related to safety and health at work.
In this context, and on the occasion of the World Day for Health and Safety at Work, a public awareness event was successfully held on 9 May 2026 at Nicosia Mall, where distribution of informational material and the organization of interactive activities took place.
Particular emphasis was placed on the participation of children, who had the opportunity to engage in creative activities, such as drawing with themes related to safety and health, helping to foster a culture of safety and health from a young age.
During the event, representatives of ERB ASFALISTIKI, the Department of Labor Inspection and the Cyprus Health and Safety Association informed the public about issues related to the psychosocial factors that affect health and safety in the workplace, while symbolic gifts were also distributed. A live radio broadcast also took place at the event’s venue.
The event was held under the auspices of the Honourable Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Mr. Marinos Mousiouttas.
