Fufa president Moses Magogo has allayed concerns about his future at the institution by claiming he has not been asked to resign.
Following the political pressure that saw former Speaker of Parliament and Magogo’s wife Anita Annet Among, also Woman Member of Parliament for Bukedea district, relinquish her ambition for a second term in office, it has been hugely reported that the Fufa president is also being asked to leave office.
But while speaking at Sheraton Hotel where the national U-17 men’s team Cubs were feted for qualifying for a second successive Fifa U-17 World Cup due later this year in Qatar, Magogo delved a bit into his future after speaking about Fufa’s achievements and thanking government for funding over the years.
“Lastly, I have been told that I have not thanked the media…,” Magogo, who has also showed his defiance by keeping in public spaces amidst his wife’s troubles, said.
“Tebabatisatisa (don’t be afraid). No one has called me to resign. I am still here and we have work to do,” Magogo, also Member of Parliament Budiope East said.
