The 148th EUROPOL Management Board meeting takes place on Monday and Tuesday in Nicosia in the framework of the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU.
The Management Board is EUROPOL’s supreme governing body which brings together representatives of all EU member states.
According to a press release issued by the Cyprus EU Presidency Secretariat, participants will discuss issues of strategic importance concerning the future course of EUROPOL, the further strengthening of its operational and institutional capabilities, as well as the improvement of the support it provides to the competent authorities of the member states.
As it is noted, the event is hosted by the Cyprus Police, during its term as Vice-Chair of the EUROPOL Management Board, and “reflects the active participation and continuous contribution of Cyprus to the work and decision-making processes of the Organisation”.
The meeting will be attended by representatives of the member states of the European Union, members of the European Parliament and the Joint Parliamentary Scrutiny Group of EUROPOL, as well as officials and institutional partners of the Organisation.
