Lanka Credit and Business Finance PLC having celebrated its 10th Anniversary recently, opened its 25th Branch at Wellawatte, which is the 3rd Branch of the company in the Colombo District.
Wellawatta is a built-up commercial town in Southern Colombo with light industries and new luxury apartment complexes, encircled by an exciting and solidly populated, highly multicultural residential area.
The branch was declared open by Deputy Plantations and Agricultural Industries Minister Pradeep Sundaralingam and Member of the Parliament Mujbar Rahuman on 11 June 2026, at a strategic location facing the Galle Road, Wellawatta.
The opening ceremony was graced by distinguished invitees, consisting of reputed entrepreneurs, potential customers, well-wishers and the Chairman and the Board of Directors of the company.
LCB Finance Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director K. G. Leelananda, addressing the gathering stated that the company intends to provide its financial products and services to the commercial establishments, businessmen, salaried individuals and the residents in Wellawatta, contributing towards their business, social and communal upliftment.
Leelananda stated that company’s deposit products consisting of ‘Podiththa’ ‘ Sihina Ayojana’ Investment Savings Schemes, Fixed Deposits and lending products consisting of Business Loans Gold Loans, Lease Finance, Housing Loans, Educational Loans, and Consumer loan facilities are designed to meet the requirements of prospective trading and businesses enterprises, Small or Medium Enterprises (SME) and to cater to the financial services required by the Co-operative societies, with specific reference to removal of barriers to financing women’s empowerment related projects. He also stated that the company has planned to expand its business operations by enhancing the branch network to 30 outlets by the end of this year, which includes Jaffna as a chosen town to establish a branch.
