Cyprus participated in the International Technology and Innovation Expo BEYOND 2026 held from June 17 to 19 at the Metropolitan Expo in Athens.

According to a press release issued on Friday by the Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry, Cypriot companies presented their technological solutions to entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, and representatives of institutional bodies from Greece and abroad during the expo.

During the exhibition, special presentations (Tech Talks) were held, through which Cypriot companies showcased applications and solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence, digital technology, research and development, cybersecurity, digital health, educational technology, cloud services, advanced business services, legal technology, certification, and dual-use technologies.

As part of the exhibition, more than 150 business meetings took place between Cypriot and Greek companies and organizations, as well as with representatives of companies, chambers of commerce, investment agencies, and public organizations from Belgium, Portugal, Slovakia, and Hungary, it is noted.

At the same time, new partnerships were established with key regional and development agencies in Greece, including the Region of Attica, the Region of Crete, the Region of Central Greece, chambers of commerce, innovation organizations, universities, and business incubators, such as the Athens Start-up Incubator.

A special feature of the Cypriot delegation’s program was the ‘Cyprus Innovation Hour’ session, which took place on the final day of the exhibition and focused on the growth prospects of the Cypriot innovation ecosystem. As part of this session, a panel discussion was held on the topic ‘From Research to Market and Investment: Building Cyprus’ Innovation Ecosystem.’

At the same time, the Cypriot pavilion hosted a business networking event attended by representatives of companies, investment funds, diplomatic missions, as well as chambers of commerce and organizations from Greece and other European and non-European countries, thereby strengthening the outward-looking nature and international visibility of Cypriot businesses.

The Ministry noted that Cyprus’ presence at BEYOND 2026 confirmed the dynamic growth of the Cypriot technology and innovation ecosystem, highlighting the country as a reliable regional hub for research, technology, entrepreneurship, and investment in the Eastern Mediterranean.
