TNT survives Macau’s fourth quarter wrath

Coach Chot Reyes and TNT Tropang 5G almost fell to Macau’s fourth quarter comeback but refused to do so.

The Tropang 5G survived the Giant Pandas’ final surge in the dying moments, prevailing with a 106-103 win to bag their first win at the beginning of their campaign in Season 50 Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup on Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum.

Rey Nambatac scattered with 23 points on 8-of-15 shooting from the field with six assists while import Darius Days added 23 points plus six rebounds and Roger Pogoy posted 23 points to lead TNT.

De’ Vondre Perry led Macau with 36 points and 10 rebounds but remains winless in four games.

TNT wasted a 101-83 advantage in the early part of the fourth quarter but hung tough down the stretch to escape with a win.
