Peace is built not only at the negotiating table, but through the hard work of people creating connections, solving practical issues and strengthening cooperation, the UN in Cyprus said following a meeting of the Secretary General, Antonio Guterres with the heads of the Technical Committees.
In a post on X following Guterres’ meeting on Tuesday afternoon with the heads of the bicommunal Technical Committees, which was also attended by the negotiators of the two sides, the United Nations in Cyprus said that ‘peace is built not only at the negotiating table, but through the hard work of people creating connections, solving practical issues and strengthening cooperation’.
‘Today’s exchange with the Technical Committees highlighted the power of inclusive dialogue in advancing peace efforts in Cyprus’, the post said.
