Students faint as classmates engage in fistfight in Capiz

Twenty-seven high school students fainted after two of their classmates engaged in a fistfight in a school in Jamindan, Capiz yesterday morning.

The incident prompted officials of the Jamindan National High School to suspend classes, to rush the students to a nearby health facility.

Some students reportedly suffered difficulty in walking due to fear after witnessing the fight between the Grade 8 and Grade 9 students, according to Jamindan police chief Maj. Jaypee Silvestre.

Responding police officers brought the two students to the municipal social welfare and development office.

Silvestre said a bladed weapon was recovered from the Grade 9 student.
