Tropical Storm Maymay made landfall over Magsingal, Ilocos Sur at 2 a.m. Thursday, the state weather bureau said.
As of 1 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) had raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 over:

Earlier, Pagasa said Maymay is expected to weaken into a tropical depression Thursday morning after making landfall, then further weaken into a low-pressure area by Thursday afternoon or evening.
‘However, due to interaction with the rugged terrain, an earlier weakening is possible,’ it said.
