Vice President Sara Duterte visited the Quezon City Jail, the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) confirmed on Wednesday.
In a statement, the BJMP said Duterte visited on Tuesday from 12 noon to 3:20 p.m.
‘During her visit, she met with Senator Rodante Dizon Marcoleta; Senator Jose Pimentel Ejercito Jr., known as Jinggoy E. Estrada; and former Congressman Michael Tan Defensor,’ the bureau further detailed.
Marcoleta and Defensor were committed to the Quezon City Jail last July over plunder charges in connection with P75 million in donations that the senator received from the former congressman and two businessmen in 2025.
Meanwhile, Estrada was committed to the Quezon City Jail last June in connection with a plunder charge related to the flood control corruption scandal
