Apollon Limassol took a significant step towards the UEFA Conference League play-offs after defeating Norway’s Brann 1-0 away in the first leg of their third qualifying round tie on Thursday.
Allen Ozbolt scored the only goal of the match in the 22nd minute, giving the Cypriot side a valuable advantage ahead of the return leg, which will be played at Alphamega Stadium on Tuesday, August 11 (20:00 local time).
Apollon controlled large spells of the contest and recorded their third consecutive European victory of the season without conceding a goal.
