Whitecrust Expands to Kano, Targets 200,000 Indigenes for Economic Empowerment

In a major bid to deepen financial inclusion across Northern Nigeria, diversified investment and financial services enterprise, Whitecrust Investment Limited, has officially expanded its operational footprint to Kano State with the launch of its 10th branch on Tuesday.

The launch event was met with jubilation from civil servants, traders, and local entrepreneurs, signaling a fresh wave of financial accessibility for businesses and artisans across Nigeria’s most populous state.

Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Whitecrust Investment Limited, Kingsley Eremionkhale, FCA, disclosed that the firm plans to empower over 200,000 Kano indigenes with loans, investment opportunities, and business capital within its first year of operation.

Underlining the necessity of corporate interventions in regional economic development, Eremionkhale noted that government efforts alone cannot bridge the funding gap facing public sector workers and informal enterprise operators.

‘Kano civil servants, entrepreneurs, investors and traders need better support, and private businesses must complement the efforts of government,’ the seasoned businessman asserted.

‘We want to leave a lasting legacy, empower people, and create sustainable employment. We cannot achieve this without taking our services closer to the people through active physical expansion.’

Eremionkhale emphasised the company’s commitment to reaching populations that have traditionally lacked structured banking support.

‘Our core mission in coming to Kano is to financially include those that have been excluded from mainstream financial services,’ he stated.

‘We have recruited locally, and our products are specifically tailored towards Kano’s cultural and religious diversity. Servicing the businessmen and artisans in Kano will not be a problem.’

Addressing concerns about market dynamics in the region, the GMD expressed complete confidence in the company’s leadership and operational readiness to navigate the local business landscape.

‘Apart from being around for about five years, our management and promoters are seasoned bankers and experts in financial advisory services. We are well equipped to understand what is required in this part of the country,’ he noted.

‘In one year, we are looking at empowering over 200,000 Kano indigenes and potential customers with investments and loans.

‘We also intend to empower them through financial literacy because education is key. We are very sound in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) because every commercial relationship must be mutually beneficial. To further safeguard our clients, we have health insurance coverage tied directly to some of our financial products like Flexfund.’

He further revealed that the firm is tailoring its product architecture to meet specific local demand, including faith-compliant financial vehicles.

‘We have robust investment packages structured for micro and small-scale businesses, and we should also start halal investment options very soon,’ Eremionkhale said. ‘In addition, our operational frameworks are fully digitalised, allowing customers to connect with us seamlessly from anywhere in the country.’

Eremionkhale outlined Whitecrust Investment Limited’s long-term vision, pointing to sustainable impact and future institutional growth as central pillars of the company’s expansion agenda.

‘We operate with a focus and a legacy mindset,’ Eremionkhale remarked.

‘We want to leave a legacy, empower people, and create sustainable employment. We cannot achieve this without taking our services closer to the people through physical expansion. Looking ahead, in the next 10 years, we should have achieved a full commercial banking license.’
