The Bangkok Post will introduce its premium digital subscription on Aug 14, 2026, signalling the next phase of its digital strategy as it scales reader revenue alongside print, Epaper and advertising operations.
The subscription delivers unlimited access to the Post’s digital journalism in an ad-light environment and introduces a membership model that includes invitations to curated community events and exclusive experiences.
The launch underscores the publisher’s broader effort to forge a more direct relationship with readers as consumption shifts toward digital platforms. By expanding its membership offering, the Bangkok Post aims to deepen reader engagement and sustain investment in independent, high-quality journalism.
‘We are excited to announce this initiative, which will enable the Bangkok Post to deepen engagement with our readers and enhance the way we serve them,’ said Chiratas Nivatpumin, Chief Operating Officer of the Bangkok Post.
‘Casual readers will continue to enjoy access to our content as usual, while subscribers will benefit from a cleaner, richer experience and gain access to new products and services designed specifically for them.’
Sutthimas Roongwitoo, Senior Vice President of Digital Media at the Bangkok Post, said the membership programme is designed to complement existing subscription products while fostering a closer connection with readers through the newly established BKP Club.
‘BKP Club is our membership community that unites readers who value trusted journalism and want to engage more closely with the Bangkok Post. This initiative advances our strategy to strengthen reader engagement and secure a sustainable future for quality journalism.’
The membership will integrate the Bangkok Post’s print, Epaper and digital audiences within a unified subscription ecosystem, offering readers greater flexibility to access journalism across multiple platforms.
From Aug 14 to Sept 14, 2026, readers can join with an introductory Early Bird offer of 99 baht for the first month. The standard monthly subscription will be 299 baht thereafter. Annual subscription details will be announced later.
