The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has lost his Ilesa East local government to the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Oyebamiji.
According to the results announced from the local government area, Oyebamiji’s APC emerged victorious in Ilesa East with 16,208 votes while Ademola Adeleke of the Accord Party got 12,280 votes.
Aregbesola’s ADC came third in his local government, polling just 504 votes.
Earlier, Tribune Online reports that the former governor lost his polling unit 01, Isare/Ifofin, ward 8, after polling 13 votes while the winner, APC, got 256 votes and Accord received 43 votes.
