Anti-narcotics agents arrested four individuals who yielded suspected shabu worth at least P800,000 during a law enforcement operation in Pigcawayan, North Cotabato, before dawn Tuesday, Aug. 18.
PRO-12 director Brig. Gen. Alan Manibog said a search warrant served at about 5 a.m. in Barangay North Manuangan, Pigcawayan, led to the arrest of four drug personalities identified as alias ‘Tikboy,’ 49; ‘Boying,’ 43; ‘Darren,’ 21; and ‘Bren,’ 42, all residents of the same village.
Manibog said joint police elements led by the Cotabato Police Provincial Office Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, together with personnel from the Pigcawayan Municipal Police Station (MPS) and 2nd Cotabato Provincial Mobile Force Company, carried out the operation.
The law enforcers found 14 sachets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 130.42 grams and worth P886,856, as well as one .38-caliber revolver loaded with six rounds of live ammunition.
All four suspects are now detained at the Pigcawayan MPS pending inquest proceedings.
Manibog lauded the raiding team for the successful operation, which resulted in no loss of life.
‘Every police operation aims to protect the public we serve. Every illegal drug confiscated reduces threats to families and communities,’ Manibog said.
