Rescue operations are currently underway, involving personnel from the state Fire Service, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and local residents.
Officials from the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) are also present at the site to assist with the rescue efforts.
While officials from the Fire Service, NSCDC, and the police command have not yet granted interviews on the incident, they said they will issue an official statement later today to clarify the number of casualties.
