President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal on his 61st birthday, describing him as a ‘renaissance governor’ whose multi-sectoral approach to governance has put the state on the path of holistic development.
The President, in a message yesterday, commended Lawal’s infrastructure and urban renewal drive, industrialisation efforts and investments in education and healthcare.
According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu said the governor had brought positive change to Zamfara through initiatives that cut across critical sectors of the state’s economy.
The President acknowledged the governor’s infrastructure development and urban renewal programmes, as well as his efforts to promote industrialisation in the state.
He also praised Lawal for extending his administration’s development initiatives beyond physical infrastructure to human capital development.
Tinubu noted that Lawal’s administration had rehabilitated more than 800 schools, recruited over 2,000 teachers, upgraded hospitals and provided medical supplies across Zamfara State.
The President also described him as a strong advocate of well-rounded development and as a governor whose approach to governance represents an appropriate pathway towards sustainable and holistic development.
‘President Tinubu, a strong proponent of well-rounded development, says Governor Lawal’s multi-sectoral approach to governance is the right step toward holistic development, especially in human capital development’, the statement said.
Tinubu joined the governor’s family, friends and the people of Zamfara State in celebrating him on the occasion.
