Men nowadays have realized that taking care of themselves is not vanity-it is part of being self-confident. There has been a significant change in the perception of men’s grooming and self-care over the years. While aesthetic treatments were often associated primarily with women, men are becoming more conscious about their skin, physique, hair, and overall appearance.
This self-awareness among men inspired Henry Arino Idea to open Reverse Men’s Aesthetics in Quezon City. He is equipped with an impressive medical background, having graduated BS Respiratory Therapy at Emilio Aguinaldo College and Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Newcastle in New South Wales, Australia.
Idea was also an ICU nurse at Westmead Hospital in Sydney for 18 years before relocating back to his homeland. Here, he shares.
‘Reverse Men’s Aesthetics represents the idea of reversing the visible signs of aging, stress, and lifestyle while bringing back a man’s confidence and youthful appearance. ‘Reverse’ is not about changing who you are-it is about helping you look like the best and most confident version of yourself.
‘What makes us different is our focused approach to men’s aesthetics. Men have different skin concerns, facial structures, grooming preferences, and expectations compared with women. We created a space where men can feel comfortable discussing these concerns without feeling judged.
‘We combine professional aesthetic care, modern technology, personalized treatments, and a discreet, masculine environment. Our goal is not to make someone look artificial, but to achieve results that look natural, refreshed, and well-maintained.
‘One of the biggest challenges was creating something that was not simply another aesthetic clinic, but a brand specifically designed around the needs and lifestyle of modern men.
‘We wanted to create the right combination of professional aesthetic services, technology, comfort, privacy, and a masculine environment. Building the team, selecting the right treatments and equipment, and developing the brand also required a lot of planning and commitment.
‘But every challenge was worth it because we believe there is a real need for a dedicated men’s aesthetic space.
‘Our vision is to make Reverse Men’s Aesthetics a trusted name in men’s aesthetics and wellness.’
CLIENT-APPROPRIATE TREATMENTS
‘From the moment they walk in, clients can expect a comfortable, professional, and welcoming environment. We want them to feel that they are entering a place designed specifically for them.
‘We begin by understanding their concerns and goals, followed by proper assessment and treatment recommendations. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Every client deserves a treatment plan that is appropriate for his individual needs.
‘Our services include treatments for facial rejuvenation, skin cleansing and hydration, skin tightening, body contouring, hair and scalp concerns, tattoo removal, and other aesthetic and wellness needs.
‘Among the treatments we offer are HIFU, advanced facial treatments such as deep cleansing and HydraFacial-type services, laser treatments, body contouring, scalp treatments, Botox and other doctor-led aesthetic procedures, depending on the client’s needs and medical assessment.’
‘Some of the most common concerns we see are acne and acne scars, enlarged pores, oily or dull skin, pigmentation, wrinkles and fine lines, sagging skin, unwanted body fat, hair loss or thinning, and tattoos that clients may want to remove or fade.
‘Many men also want to look less tired and more refreshed, especially those with demanding careers and busy lifestyles.’
SUBTLE NOT DRAMATIC ENHANCEMENTS
‘Our clinic helps men achieve a more confident and refreshed appearance. We start by listening to the client. We identify what concerns him and what he wants to improve, then recommend treatments that are appropriate for his goals.
‘Our philosophy is subtle enhancement rather than dramatic transformation. We want our clients to look healthier, fresher, more youthful, and more confident-while still looking like themselves.
‘Our treatments are suitable for first-time clients who are curious about aesthetic procedures. In fact, we welcome first-time clients.
‘We understand that trying an aesthetic treatment for the first time can be intimidating. That’s why we take time to explain the procedure, expected results, possible downtime, and aftercare. We want clients to make informed decisions and feel comfortable throughout the process.
‘We continuously look for modern, evidence-informed aesthetic technologies and treatment approaches that can address the specific needs of men.
‘Our services incorporate technologies such as HIFU, laser-based treatments, advanced facial technology, body-contouring technology, scalp treatments, and skin-analysis tools. More importantly, technology is only one part of the equation-we believe that proper assessment, trained professionals, and individualized treatment planning are equally important.’
SELF-CARE IS GENDERLESS
‘More men today are becoming open to aesthetic treatments. Men today are becoming more comfortable with the idea that self-care is not limited by gender.
‘Looking after your skin, body, and appearance is becoming part of a healthy and confident lifestyle. Social media, professional environments, changing beauty standards, and greater access to information have also helped normalize aesthetic treatments for men.
‘Modern men understand that grooming is part of presenting yourself well-whether in business, relationships, social situations, or simply in your everyday life.
‘My message is simple: There is nothing wrong with taking care of yourself.
‘You don’t have to undergo a major transformation. Sometimes, a simple facial, skin treatment, or consultation can make you feel more refreshed and confident.
‘Start with a consultation, ask questions, understand your options, and choose what makes you comfortable. Aesthetic treatments should be about enhancing your confidence-not changing your identity.
‘At the end of the day, our goal is simple: to help every man look better, feel better, and become a more confident version of himself.’
