Segun Lawrence Ayeleru, professionally known as BDGX and also as Bigdoingx, has built his career around music, entertainment, and entrepreneurship.
Born on September 6, 1999, in Agege, Lagos State, Ayeleru is from Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State, with Ibadan as his hometown
Growing up in Lagos, he developed an interest in music and creative activities. His exposure to the city’s entertainment environment led him to explore songwriting, singing, and music production while he was still developing his academic and professional interests.
Ayeleru attended Grace School, Agbado, Ogun State, where he completed his secondary education in 2016. He later studied Information Resource Management at Lead City University, Ibadan, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. He also studied Business Administration at the University of the People.
His education gave him a background in information management and business, while his interest in music continued to develop alongside his studies.
Between 2019 and 2024, Ayeleru continued exploring music production, songwriting, and singing. He also became interested in the business side of entertainment, including how artists could be managed, developed, and supported beyond the creative process.
This interest eventually led to the establishment of Doingx Records on January 1, 2025.
Doingx Records was created as an entertainment and record-label venture focused on music, artist management, and talent development. The launch marked a step from Ayeleru’s involvement in music creation into the management and development of other creative talents.
Nigerian media organisations, including THISDAY, Independent Newspaper Nigeria, and Vanguard, reported on the establishment of the label and its activities.
One of the label’s early developments was the unveiling of Salam-sodiq-Olamilekan, professionally known as Olawealth, as an artist under Doingx Records. THISDAY reported the development on January 1, 2025, in connection with the launch of the record label.
Independent Newspaper Nigeria and Vanguard also published reports on Doingx Records and Ayeleru’s activities in the Nigerian music industry.
While developing the record label, Ayeleru continued his own music career under the BDGX name. His work includes production, songwriting, and singing.
His music catalogue includes the single ‘BDGX (BIGDOINGX)’, featuring Olawealth and Franzy. The song was released on January 1, 2025, and is available on music streaming platforms.
Apple Music lists BDGX as an Afrobeats artist from Lagos, Nigeria, while the recording is also available on Spotify.
Beyond music and entertainment, Ayeleru has pursued interests in entrepreneurship and real estate. He is associated with TYO REALTORS, a venture focused on property and real-estate opportunities.
He is also associated with the Doingx Foundation, an initiative focused on education, scholarships, skills development, and youth empowerment.
These activities have added business and social development to his work in entertainment. His background in Information Resource Management and Business Administration also provides a link between his academic training and his involvement in business.
For Ayeleru, music has therefore developed from an early creative interest into a wider professional undertaking. His work now includes creating music, working with artists, and participating in the business structures that support the entertainment industry.
The establishment of Doingx Records also created a platform for him to work on artist development while maintaining his own involvement in music.
As of 2026, Ayeleru remains active in music, entertainment, and entrepreneurship. At 26, he continues to develop Doingx Records while pursuing interests in real estate, business development, and education.
His professional journey began with an interest in music but has since expanded into areas that combine creativity, management, and business.
The progression has taken him from learning music production and songwriting to establishing a record label and exploring opportunities beyond the entertainment industry.
