The Chairman of the FCT’s Kwali Area Council, Nuhu Daniel Kwali,has reached out to the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) about a planned cooperation to develop an ICT and digital innovation hub within the council.
Kwali made the move during a courtesy visit to the NITDA headquarters in Abuja, where he was received by the Director of Human Resource Management, Mr. Sarafa A. Lawal, as well as other top agency officials on behalf of the Director-General.
He stated that the effort will enhance digital skills, creativity, and technology-driven economic prospects for citizens in Kwali Area Council’s ten wards.
The chairman stated that the council wishes to seek NITDA’s participation and technical assistance in important areas such as information and communication technology, digital literacy, innovation, and skill development.
He did, however, say that the proposed ICT and Digital Innovation Hub aims to increase access to technology and digital learning opportunities for Kwali Area Council citizens, with a focus on young people.
