Families and next-of-kin of slain Police officers in Bauchi Command have been presented with various amounts of money totalling the sum of N26m as part of group life assurance benefits.
The State Commissioner of Police, Sani-Omolori Aliyu, presented the cheques to thirty-four beneficiaries on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu.
The payments were made under the Nigeria Police Force’s group life assurance scheme, which provides financial support to families of officers who die in the course of their service.
Sani-Omolori Aliyu expressed condolences to the beneficiaries and urged them to use the funds for the welfare of their families.
He reaffirmed the commitment of the police leadership to the welfare of serving and retired personnel and families of deceased Officers, as contained in a statement signed by SP Nafiu Habib, Police Public Relations Officer, made available to Journalists on Sunday.
