The All Progressives Congress (APC) has swept the Enugu State local government election, winning all 17 chairmanship positions and the 260 councillorship seats across the state.
Christian Ngwu, executive chairman of the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC), announced the results following the completion of the collation exercise on September 26, 2026.
Ngwu, who also serves as the chief electoral officer of the Commission, declared the APC candidates winners of the chairmanship and councillorship contests.
According to the ENSIEC chairman, the APC secured victory in all 17 local government areas and won all 260 councillorship positions across the state’s 260 political wards.
