The fourth Ofala Festival of His Royal Majesty, Igwe K.O. Obioremgbe, the Ogbuehi Jideofor V of Amorka Town in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State, will be held on Saturday.
The colourful traditional ceremony is expected to attract sons and daughters of Amorka, friends, associates, dignitaries and well-wishers from across the country. It will take place at the palace, Umuezike, Amorka.
The Ofala Festival is an important cultural occasion that celebrates the traditional institution, community unity, heritage and the achievements of the people.
It provides an opportunity for the people of Amorka to come together in celebration and to reaffirm their commitment to the peace, progress and development of the community.
As the Ogbuehi Jideofor V, Igwe Obioremgbe has continued to uphold the customs and traditions of Amorka while promoting unity and peaceful coexistence among his people. The 4th Ofala Festival is expected to be a significant gathering, featuring traditional rites, cultural displays and other activities that will showcase the rich heritage of Amorka and the people of Ihiala.
The royal palace has invited members of the public, particularly sons and daughters of Amorka, traditional rulers, community leaders, and friends and well-wishers of Igwe K.O. Obioremgbe, to join in celebrating the occasion.
The festival is scheduled to commence at the palace, Umuezike, Amorka, on October 3.
