Trains running on the MRT’s Blue Line were experiencing delays of up to 10 minutes on Monday due to a “technical disruption”.
Passengers were advised to allow extra travel time, operator Bangkok Expressway and Metro (BEM) said on its online channels at 10.12am.
A technical disruption had occurred between Thailand Cultural Centre and Tao Poon stations, the BEM said.
The MRT Blue Line runs on a loop-like route stretching 48 kilometres, with 38 stations between the Tha Phra and Lak Song terminals. It carries large numbers of commuters into central Bangkok each day, with its busiest stations including Sukhumvit, Phetchaburi, Chatuchak Park, Phra Ram 9 and Silom.
The line also stops the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, where IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings 2026 began on Monday.
