Suvarnabhumi airport ends free parking for flooded motorists

Suvarnabhumi airport has advised car owners with flooded homes who parked their vehicles there to remove them immediately, or start paying.

The airport said on social media posts that the free parking service provided for flood victims since Sept 26 would end on Tuesday night.

Drivers were advised to move their cars from the designated areas. Parking fees would apply from Wednesday the announcement said.

The airport earlier reserved five areas, including the roadside of Suvarnabhumi Road 4, where people could leave their cars free of charge during the recent, devastating flooding in Greater Bangkok.
