Osborn Umahi has joined his father Minister of Works David Umahi in mobilising support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Osborn’s appearance alongside the minister and other participants at a recent political gathering comes amid efforts to strengthen support for Tinubu in the South-East.
David Umahi has repeatedly expressed confidence in Tinubu’s re-election prospects and Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru’s predicting strong electoral support for both leaders in 2027.
Speaking in Abakaliki on Sunday the minister projected that Tinubu and Nwifuru would each secure 95 per cent of the vote.
‘President Bola Tinubu is going to win a second term. Governor Francis Nwifuru is going to win a second term’ he said.
Umahi also strongly opposed those working against the two leaders’ re-election bids.
‘Anyone who does not want Tinubu and Nwifuru to get their second terms may he not have a second term in his life’ he said.
The minister further outlined the All Progressives Congress’ grassroots mobilisation strategy saying campaigners would visit residents in their homes to communicate the party’s message.
‘They will go to people’s homes early in the morning and share their messages’ he said.
Osborn’s participation in the gathering has drawn attention to his involvement in the political mobilisation effort.
