REINFORCING its commitment to holistic and future-ready education, the University of Santo Tomas Senior High School (UST-SHS) has formally entered into a partnership with COL Financial Group, Inc. (COL) with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU), establishing a collaborative framework to promote financial literacy and capital market awareness among students and academic staff.
The MOU outlines a non-exclusive collaboration between UST-SHS and COL to deliver educational initiatives centered on investments and the capital markets. Key initiatives under the partnership include faculty immersion programs, curriculum enrichment collaborations, career guidance sessions, financial literacy campaigns, and participation in investment simulations and case competitions. Select students and academic staff may likewise be granted priority access to COL-led webinars, forums, and conferences, further broadening their exposure to the financial industry.
The collaboration reflects both institutions’ mutual recognition of the critical importance of financial education in preparing young Filipinos for the demands of a rapidly evolving economic landscape. By integrating capital market literacy into the UST-SHS academic experience, the partnership aims to equip students not only with theoretical knowledge of financial concepts but also with the practical awareness needed for sound economic decision-making.
