A miniature treasure chest, a homemade pirate ship and a crowd of children dressed as pirates, fairies and anime characters set the scene at ‘Little Pirates Big Adventure’ on Sunday, October 25.
Held at Connect Lounge at Savoy Hotel Manila in Pasay City, the Halloween party brought together children and their families for a lunch buffet, trick-or-treating, face painting and games. Pirate hats, red bandanas and eye patches stood out among the costumes. Others came dressed as characters from popular anime series, including ‘One Piece’ lead character Luffy and swordsman Roronoa Zoro. Some also wore costumes inspired by familiar adventure characters like Peter Pan.
One child came dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow, complete with a miniature treasure chest, while another carried a homemade miniature pirate ship as part of the costume.
An event host dressed in pirate-inspired attire led the games as parents and guardians watched and took photos of the children.
The games brought out the children’s competitive spirit, while the Best in Costume competition put their creativity on display. A boy and a girl won the contest, with each receiving a hotel stay. Captain Jack Sparrow was among the winners.
