PBA: LA Tenorio’s outburst captures Magnolia’s struggles vs TNT

Coach LA Tenorio summed up his frustrations over Magnolia’s Game 2 loss to TNT in the 2026 PBA Governors’ Cup quarterfinals on Wednesday during a huddle that was heard on livestream.

Tenorio shouted unprintables at his players after the Hotshots once again fell behind by double digits against a Tropang 5G side that would eventually end up getting a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series with a 91-73 win at Ynares Center here.

‘What the f*ck are we doing?! We look sh*t inside!’ Tenorio said. ‘You gotta think, not only play. You gotta think!’

The neophyte coach then slammed his clipboard to vent out more of his disappointment to his team that is now on the brink of an early playoff exit despite topping Group B.

Tenorio declined media requests for an interview as he left the venue in a bad mood.

Magnolia trailed for most of the game as it struggled to find a way to stop TNT import Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, who finished with 39 points.

The Hotshots tried to make a run, even cutting a 17-point deficit to two in the third after the Tropang 5G failed to score a single point after leading 51-34.

But to the chagrin of Tenorio, Magnolia went on a downward spiral.
