Police arrested a 37-year-old man for allegedly taking his former partner’s two children without her consent in Pasay City and bringing them to San Fernando City in Pampanga.
In a statement, the Philippine National Police Public Information Office (PNP-PIO) said the children, aged 11 and three, were taken without their mother knowing about it.
The suspect allegedly brought the children, aged 11 and three years old, to Barangay Malpitic, where Pasay City police officers, with assistance from San Fernando police, rescued the kids on October 26.
‘The suspect was the complainant’s former partner and the biological father of the younger child. A separate case involving alleged sexual assault against the older child had previously been filed and remains under preliminary investigation before the Prosecutor’s Office,’ the PNP public information office said.
For ‘forcibly taking’ the minors, the suspect is facing a charge of alleged forcible abduction under Article 342 of the Revised Penal Code, as well as charges for alleged violations of the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, police said
